Is there documented evidence that it is valid for use with a specified population? • To which other populations does it claim to generalize? • Are outcomes clearly stated? • Are there alternative interventions that are less restrictive, better researches, or perhaps more effective or efficient? • Is the intervention with the existing skill set of practitioners or do they need prior training and consultation? • How will the intervention be evaluated if you decide to implement? • Has the intervention been shown to produce outcomes like the ones intended? • Are there publications about this procedure, product, or program? Is the information published in a peer-reviewed professional journal? Is promotional material (e.g. brochures, training manuals, newsletters, popular press) the only published source of information? • Is there peer-reviewed research (or information) that supports or contradicts the stated outcomes or benefits?
