10 New Jersey Restaurants Worth the Road Trip - Roosterspin Congratulations Roosterspin for being included in this article! You are in great company with other fabulous NJ restaurants. This is the inspiration behind Mihae Cho's Korean eatery Roosterspin, which has locations in New Brunswick and Westfield. The menu's signature dish is Korean double-fried chicken, which Cho first prepared at her New York City restaurant, Mono + Mono. The twice-fried chicken is light and crispy outside, juicy inside, and brushed with rich soy garlic or spicy soy sauce." Read more. 251 North Ave. W., 908.233.7333. www.roosterspin.com

Spotlight On: Brummer's Chocolates, a Westfield Institution

The candy business has been in George Brummer's family since 1904, for over 100 years.

George's grandfather first established his business in Jersey City. His two sons eventually took over the business, then his grandsons, George and Robert. When the original store closed in 1988, Robert moved to Ohio and George bought the old Martha Lorton Candies in Westfield. He changed its name to Brummer's, where he continued his family's candy business to this day.

George has been working in his current location at 125 E. Broad Street in Westfield since 1988. That's nearly 30 years!

Brummer's is an old fashioned candy shop in every sense of the word. The place looks like it did originally, down to the Victorian wallpaper and vintage candy molds. Read more..
