Summary for June 15 to 28. Average air temperatures have been near normal to below normal values over most of area except for above normal over the southern Labrador coast and the northwestern part of Hudson Bay. Ice melt is generally 2-3 weeks earlier than normal.

Weather forecast for July 1 to 31. Air temperatures are forecast to be near to below normal values over northeastern Hudson Bay, Hudson Strait, eastern and the southern Baffin Island area. Air temperatures are forecast to be above normal over most of the Labrador coast, southwestern Hudson Bay and James Bay. Near normal values will prevail over northern Hudson Bay and western Fox Basin.
