TRANSPORTATION TO THE FAIRMONT SAN JOSE

FROM INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT While the Fairmont Hotel does not provide a shuttle service for San Francisco International Airport passengers to the hotel, there are other means of transportation.

Private Car The Fairmont Hotel staff can arrange a town car from a preferred limo company to pick you up from SFO. The price will be approximately $172 which includes taxes and gratuity. For an additional $10, you have the option of having the driver meet you at the gate. Travel time is about an hour and all charges can be conveniently charged to your hotel bill if you wish.

Taxi Cabs Taxi cabs are readily available from SFO to the Fairmont San Jose; and the cost ranges from $150 to $170. Travel time is about an hour, depending upon traffic.

Super Shuttle Super Shuttle (www.supershuttle.com) is a shared ride service that will pick you up from the airport and take you to the Fairmont San Jose. It costs $39 for the first passenger and each additional passenger is $15. The travel time is varies between one 1/12 hours and two 1/2 hours, depending on the number of passengers. The big blue and yellow vans will be available at the airport outside of baggage claim.

Caltrain (www.caltrain.com) is a public train that travels up and down the peninsula between San Francisco and San Jose. To travel between SFO and San Jose costs only $7 and takes about one hour, but you have to get to the Millbrae Caltrain first. The is about 2 miles away from SFO, and the Fairmont is about 1 mile away from the San Jose Diridon station in San Jose. • To get to the Millbrae station from SFO; you can take SamTrans (a public bus) from the airport to the Millbrae Station, take BART (), or take a $10 taxi cab. • To get to the Fairmont from the Diridon station; you could either take a 5 minute, $7 cab ride, a 15 minute DASH ride (free bus service on Monday-Friday from 7am - 7pm), catch a $2 Mt. View VTA Light Rail to the Paseo De San Antonio stop or just walk 20 minutes over to the Fairmont San Jose.

FROM SAN JOSE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT There are three ways of traveling to the Fairmont San Jose:

Private Car The Fairmont Hotel staff can arrange a limousine/town car to pick you up at the San Jose airport and take you directly to the Fairmont San Jose. The cost would be about $65 (without tip), take about 15 minutes and you could pay the driver directly or you may have your hotel room billed.

Taxi Taxis are readily available from the airport and will cost about $20-$22 and take about 15 minutes.

Light Rail The VTA Light Rail is an electric commuter train that connects to most of the San Jose area. From the San Jose airport, look for a sign for ground transportation and find the area for VTA Bus #10. Bus #10 is a free shuttle that will take you over to the Metro/Airport Light Rail station. At the station, look for either the Santa Teresa train or the Winchester train and take whichever train arrives first down to the Paseo De San Antonio Station (cost is $2 and takes about 15 minutes). At the Paseo De San Antonio Station, walk one block down the pedestrian walkway that is next to Starbucks and you will be at the Fairmont San Jose.
