The CUC is an annual event that brings together Ultimate players from coast-to-coast competing in six divisions. Over the next eight days, there is sure to be lots of great Ultimate! CUC Edmonton would not be possible without the countless hours of work put forth by the Edmonton organizing committee. On behalf of Ultimate Canada, I would like to thank all of the volunteers for sacrificing many hours over the last year to make this tournament a huge success. Good luck to all teams participating! Sincerely, Danny Saunders Executive Director Ultimate Canada To all Players & Coaches, On behalf of the entire Observer Crew, I would like to welcome you all to the 2019 Canadian Ultimate Championships! Observers are unbi- ased, third-party officials to help manage aspects of the game that players are less able to easily manage, from keeping score or tracking time limits to helping quickly resolve player disputes and dealing with conduct issues. We have put together a strong team of certified observers from across the country to ensure that your games run smoothly. Observers are automatically assigned to games throughout the tournament, particularly the championship bracket in each division. If you believe our assis- tance would be valuable to one of your team’s games, please drop by the Observer tent to request our presence. If possible, please make a request the day before. We cannot guarantee that we will have Observers available, as the demand for their service continues to grow. If you need clarity on a rule or Observer function, feel free to drop by the tent, we love to talk about Ultimate! After every observed game, we ask teams to complete an Observer Feedback form. Our reasons for this are: 1) to ensure that teams have a clear avenue to provide feedback, positive or negative, from their observed game, and 2) to help our observers better understand their strengths and weaknesses in order to continue to improve. Your feedback will help make the Observer program better in the long run. See you on the field!
