However, you must be the owner of and the individual who grew, built, created or raised the exhibit you want to enter. Q: What does it cost to enter? A: It depends on your age and whether you are entering the Open Class or Junior Fair. Please see the admission section of the Premium Book. Q: Can I enter an exhibit in more than one department? A: An individual item can only be entered in one department. Individuals can only enter one item per class number per person. Q: What types of awards/ribbons can I win? A: The types of awards and ribbons vary by department. Ribbons and premiums paid are listed in each section of the Premium Book. Q: How are the exhibits judged? A: There are two types of judging systems used at the Fair – the American and the Danish. Under the American System, the judges evaluate all exhibits in the department and select only one first, one second, one third and so on in each department (Open Class). Under the Danish system, judges evaluate each exhibit on its own merits (not compared to others) and may give more than one first, one second, one third and so on (Junior Fair). Q: Where can I get a Premium Book? A: You can pick a copy of the Premium Book up at the Fair Office, located at 30820 111th Street, Wilmot, WI 53192 OR on the website: www.kenoshacofair.com. Entry forms are available online and in the Fair office. Q: How do I enter an exhibit? A: You will need to complete an entry form (either Open Class or Junior Fair). Simply select the Department, Division and Class for each item/animal you want to exhibit. Fill in all of the information required on the entry form and return it to the Fair Office or your organization/club General Leader prior to the deadline. We suggest that you include all items you are intending to exhibit. It is best to enter and not bring an item, rather than pay the late entry fee once the deadline has passed. Q: I need more lines than are on the entry form, what should I do? A: You are permitted to copy the blank entry form if you require additional lines for entry. Please remember to put your name on each additional sheet. Q: When

Kitten - Recommendations for New Owners We would like to congratulate you on the acquisition of your new kitten. Owning a cat can be an extremely rewarding experience, but it is also a large responsibility for many years. We hope this handout will give you the information needed to make some good decisions regarding your kitten. First let us say that we are grateful that you have chosen our hospital to help with your kitten's health care. If you have questions concerning any subject related to your kitten's health, please feel free to call our hospital. Our veterinarians and staff will be happy to assist you. How should I introduce my kitten to its new environment? A cat is naturally inclined to investigate its new surroundings. You should initially limit the kitten's area of exploration so that you can closely supervise its actions. After confining the kitten to one room for the first few days, you should slowly allow access to other areas of the home. How should I introduce my new kitten to my other cat? Most kittens will receive a hostile reception from other household pets, especially another cat. "The existing cat must not feel that it is necessary to compete for food or attention." The other cat usually sees no need for a kitten in the household and these feelings are reinforced if it perceives that special attention is being shown to the kitten.

  • Shirley 1 Jack Shirley Professor Madden
Shirley 1 Jack Shirley Professor Madden EMCS 2800 1 March 2020 Human Microchipping: Simplified Technology or Privacy Risk? For almost 25 years, pet owners across the world have begun implanting their animals with microchips. This miniature piece of hardware allows an animal to be properly identified when it goes missing. As humans, the digital landscape continues to evolve and consumer demands for more efficient access and payment are growing, with a tremendous focus on making the user experience faster and better. There has been a migration from PCs to laptops, laptops to mobile devices, and today, users are able to execute commands through wearable technology. But what if human microchips could enhance our everyday digital experience? I have delivered interviews to several leaders in the human microchip market, to gain perspective on specific problems this technology can help solve and where it could create a cultural backlash. The results were unexpected, and since the inception of my research, there has been new state and global legislation to preserve human rights and disallow this practice. There has also been increased adoption across the private sector for microchips, and certain countries have begun standardizing on microchipping methods as a primary protocol for daily tasks. The objective of this paper is to prepare the reader for the paradigm shift that is currently happening, and through predictable measures, facilitate a discussion that explains which communities this technology can positively impact, and which ones will resist. By providing some context into the security and privacy challenges of the actual integrated circuit of a microchip, you will be able to quantify the balance between usability and personal protection, and what your appetite for risk will be.
