Lp, 12”, 10”, 7”, Cd LP, 12”, 10”, 7”, CD GRUPO – TITULO FORMATO PRECIO AGNOSTIC FRONT - MY LIFE, MY WAY LP (Vinilo) 19 € Originally released on NUCLEAR BLAST, the original pressing is already long gone and sold out, with some of the versions selling for top dollar on the known auction sites. We reckon that great music should be available for everyone who wants to hear it for a fair price, and "MY LIFE, MY WAY" can definitely be classified under great New York hardcore music with modern day classics such as "City Streets", "Us Against The World", "My Way", "Until The Day I Die" and "The Sacrifice"! – MEIN NAME IST ALEX CUERVO 7” ( inilo) 5 € ALTERED BOYS – LEFT BEHIND B/W CHOOSING SIDES 7” (Vinilo) 5 € ANTI-EARTH MOTHERFUCKERS / SCHNELL – SPLIT 7” ( inilo) 4 € Edición limitada a 125 copias numeradas. Edicion de 500 copias: 300 vinilo negro y 200 vinilo amarillo 7” ( marillo) 7 € – OUR BEST RECORD SO FAR LP (Vinilo) 10 € ARKADA SOCIAL – HIL ORDUKO BIZI LP (Vinilo) 11 € – S/T 7” ( inilo) 2 € Incluye insert ARTHUR PYM & – S/T 7” ( inilo) 4 € ASTRYD LINDGREN'S GR 5 – ALGR5 7” ( inilo) 4 € ATTAK – ZOMBIES LP (Vinilo) 14 € Probably the first experiment in mixing hardcore attitude with OI! songwriting ever made within the UK punk movement, ATTAK were born as a four piece in New Mills in 1981, but immediately reversed to a trio when their singer left for school commitments and released two incredible singles on the No Future label in this form, right before recruiting a new guitarist and record Zombies, who came out in 1983 on the same label. Known for featuring Mackie from BLITZs sister on drums, (and sounding A LOT like his band!), ATTAK definitely split up in late 1983. This criminally underrated classic gets reissued on vinyl for the first time since 1983 with his original artwork and fully remastered. – TEACHER'S PET 7” ( inilo) 5 € CAL AND THE CALORIES – BASTARD IN A YELLOW SUIT 7” ( inilo) 7 € – DEEP ENDS LP (Vinilo) 12 € – FACTS. 7” ( inilo) 5 € CHAOS – 1980/1986 LP (Negro) 14 € Edicion de 500 copias, 300 vinilo negro y 200 vinilo rojo. CRETIN STOMPERS – LOOKING FORWARD TO BE ATTACKED LP (Vinilo) 8 € – FIGHTING THE SYSTEM 7” ( inilo) 20 € CROWBAR – HIPPY PUNKS 7” (Vinilo) 8 € Este disco fue editado originalmente in 1983 por SKIN HEAD RECORDS en el Reino Unido. (Jyväskylä Studies in Humanities ISSN ISBN Diss In the past, exploration of music has focused on analysis by formalists, refferentialists and through social, semiotic and anthropological viewpoints including Schenkerian-Yeston (1977), Semiotic-Eco (1977), and Motivic-Ruwet (1987). Although each has its merits in the formal analysis of music, few explore genre identification. In musical genre studies the exploration of musical, paramusical (extramusical) and perceptual elements are essential to facilitate a full understanding of the subject area. Johnson in Zorn supports such a perspective in his argument for a holistic approach to musical analysis (Zorn 2000:29). The multidisciplinary nature of music and the discourses embodied in its creation, development and dissemination utilise a range of signifiers for identification advocating the utilisation of a “hybrid” (Wickens 1999) methodology combining quantitative and qualitative analysis.

God Save The Sex Pistols - Reviews Punk Page 1 of 14 REVIEWS PUNK This section covers non - Pistols products which I have enjoyed and may be of interest to Sex Pistols' fans. Bad Brains - Live at CBGB 1982 (Wienerworld WNRD2393) Released 25th September 2006 In the early 80s, with punk largely on the wane back in the UK, over in the US the Hardcore scene was exploding. Filmed at a three-day Hardcore festival held at CBGB's 24-26th December 1982, the DVD brings together footage from the festival. Bad Brains are perhaps unique in hardcore terms as they intersperse full-on thrash, such as Big Take Over and Riot Squad, with great reggae grooves like King Of Glory. What's most striking about the footage, as well as the intensity of the band, is the audience who are so into the band they go crazy, spilling on and off the stage dancing like punks possessed. It's chaos. If you think you know how to mix it up at a punk show, think again. "Someone get this dude, he's bleedin" says vocalist H.R.as a punter sustains an injury. It's captured on film by multiple cameras both off stage and on, often getting caught up in the action. Bad Brains belong in the top echelons of US Hardcore, along with Black Flag and the Dead Kennedys. Fast, accomplished and wild. Which brings us onto... Dead Kennedys - In God We Trust Inc. The Lost Tapes (Wienerworld WNRD2207) Brilliant. In God We Trust Inc. was a landmark EP heralding the arrival of Hardcore.

  • Beginning to See the Light
51 Beginning to See the Light On November 7, I admitted I was turned on by the Sex Pistols. That morning I had gone from my shrink to my office and found that a friend who takes an interest in my musical welfare had sent me a package of British punk singles and albums. He had been urging me to listen to the stuff, and I had been resisting; I was skeptical about punk, in both its British and American versions. The revolt against musical and social pretension, the attempts to pare rock to its essen- tials, the New York bands’ Velvetesque ironic distance had a certain déjà vu quality: wasn’t all that happening five years ago? When I had first heard “God Save the Queen” on the radio, my main reaction had been, “They sound like Mott the Hoople—what’s the big deal?” And the Ramones bored me; I felt they were not only distanced but distant, apologists for coldness as a worldview. I had dutifully gone to see them at CBGB’s and bought their first album, hoping to be interested in what they were trying to do, but duty goes only so far. I was also put off by the heavy overlay of misogyny in the punk stance. In October I had gone to an art show opening in Queens and had run into another punk evangelist, Bob Christgau. He argued that people who put down the punk bands as “fascist” were really objecting to their lack of gentility. The English bands, he said, were overtly antifascist, and after all it was in England that fascism was a serious threat, not here.
