Wir sind Silvia und Elisabeth, leben in Knittelfeld im Murtal und sind als Bergwander- und Schneeschuhführerinnen in der gesam- ten Steiermark und darüber hinaus unterwegs. Auf der Suche nach innovativen Projekten haben wir festgestellt, dass es für die Steiermark noch keinen Schneeschuh-Wander- führer gibt. Im Winter 2015/2016 haben wir deshalb 600 km und 46.000 Höhenmeter mit Schneeschuhen zurückgelegt, um den 1. Schneeschuhführer der Steiermark, erschienen im Rother Verlag, zu schreiben. Die zweite Auflage erschien bereits im Dezember 2017. Auch hatten wir die Möglichkeit, in zahlreichen Medien - Print, Radio und TV, über diese sanfte Sportart zu berichten. Mittlerweile ist Schneeschuhwandern im Trend und erfreut sich wachsender Beliebtheit. Dadurch ist die Idee entstanden, mit den Tourismusverantwortlichen des Murtals eine außergewöhnliche Veranstaltung ins Leben zu rufen!
