That pitcher must be replaced after three trips to the mound in a game. (A team conference during an inning constitutes a trip to the mound). 8. No coach may touch or assist a runner during a play. This is an automatic out. 9. 10 Run Rule after 4 innings (3 ½ if home team is ahead). 10. Coaches are permitted to warm up a pitcher at the start of an inning only. A coach may also warm up an outfielder at the start of an inning. If a team wishes to warm up a pitcher during an inning, a player catcher wearing a mask must be used with an additional player with a helmet and glove used as a protector. 11. Nine defensive players will be in the field. (Six in the infield including pitcher and catcher and three in the outfield). Offensively, all dressed players will bat. 12. In the event of darkness or weather, a game will be considered complete at 4 innings (3 ½ innings if home team is ahead). If a game has not reached the point of a complete game must be called for darkness or rain – it will be resumed at the exact point it was stopped. Umpire will make note of the time game was stopped – when a game is resumed – the game will finish whatever amount of time is left of the 1hr. 45min time limit. No complete games will be made up. 13. In the event of a tie after pool play, the following tie breakers will be used: 1st Head to Head 2nd Defensive Runs Allowed (fewest) 3rd Runs Scored 4th Coin Flip .

Rules and Regulations. • Background Checks (All Divisions of Babe Ruth League, Inc.) – Babe Ruth League, Inc. programs, nationwide, are required to annually conduct a background check on all managers, coaches, board of directors’ members, as well as any other persons and volunteers, who provide regular service to the league and/or have repetitive access to, or contact with, players or teams. The purpose of these background checks is, first and foremost, to protect the players. • Babe Ruth Baseball 13 Prep Division and 13-15 Division – Local League and Tournament Play Special Rules and Regulations – Extra Player (formally the “EH” extra Hitter). Prior to the beginning of each tournament game, a team may elect to add a tenth hitter to the batting order for District, State and Regional tournament competition, as well as the Babe Ruth 13-Year-Old World Series, Babe Ruth 14- Year-Old World Series and Babe Ruth 13-15 World Series. The player will be indicated in the line-up as the “EP.” The “EP” cannot be added to the line-up once the game begins.     Baseball Minors 9 & 10 Rules Summary **All rules not referenced in this summary follow the 2021 Little League Baseball Rulebook Time Limit (Regular Season): No new inning will start after one hour and forty‐five minutes. All regular season games will have a two‐hour drop dead time limit. Any game lasting one‐hour and forty‐five minutes will be considered an official game regardless of number of innings played. Time Limit (Playoffs): There will be no drop‐dead time limit however no new inning will start after one hour and forty‐five minutes. If the game is tied at the end of time expiration, the game will continue until a winner is determined. Batting Lineup: Continuous batting lineup will be used. Minimum Play: Must play defensively at least every other inning. All players must sit out once before anyone sits out twice (does not apply to starting pitcher and catcher until removed from that position). All players must play at least 1 inning of infield per game. Run Limits: A half inning will be complete when 5 runs are scored or 3 outs are made, whichever occurs first. Any runs scoring on the last play that exceed 5 runs will not count toward the score. As allowed under Little League Rule 4.10€ Note (2), the 15‐run and 10‐run slaughter rules will NOT be utilized. Number of Players: A game may start or continue with only 8 players. When the 9th position comes up in the batting order, the position is skipped without penalty as long as it is vacated.
