At GP Hathikhal, development block of Haldwani is Nainital district was organised a symposium by grampradhan Sri Suresh Chandra Joshi on 26th May, 2019 to observe periods sanitary day. While explaining monthly cleaness management. She explains the following issues-  What are periods/monthly- It is indicator of adultness among girls. It continues until a women crossing the age of 45 days.  Periods repeat after 21 to 35 days or after 28 days. Many a times of this process delays due to illness or tension etc.  Periods are an natural phenomenon if is held that is blood is not pointed.  During the symoporiea the activities of girls were also discussed. Some participants usually explains their activities which are follows:- (i) Dont eat rice, cold or acitic for. (ii) Do not play. (iii) The girls shared that the affairs issues were taught to them by their family members. In the meeting it was explains to the girls that ecofriendly pad should be used during periods and eat every things. You can play show to such or do all the activities as used if you an using pads. It was explained to them in the help of E.g. TV advertisement of a Sanitary pad whisper. It was explains to them that days should have shower every day during periods. Dry your cloth in sun light. Change your pads after four hours . Wrep the used pad properly in news paper and them disposed off them in dustbin. In the purpose of which was to make sanitary pad available easilly to girls so that they can concerete on studies . In addition, to this information about ecofriendly napkins was shared to have better understanding of conservation of environment. Due to lack of information and money, many of women used old and useless cloth pieces during the time of periods, which is quite risky for inviting infection. Their are of course reports, death of women due to such infection. Available data based on researches indicated that about 23% girls deseat schools due to periods. Even today about 70% population is devoid of the facility of costly sanitary napkins. In the programme of the given the information about the Akashy Kumar starar films Pad Men. They also felt that gender equality should be realised in our behaviour work, play, food, education and so on.  In the symposia, presence of gram pradhan was very useful and instrumented to over come the hasitation of girls. All the girls observed that while buying pad or keeping it at home it is ensured that if is not visible to other. It was made them understood that periods is a natural phenomenon and everyone should feel happy about it rather than feel shamefull.  Mrs Kiran Kandpal shared information of making pad out of cloth.

 At the end of the programme, in the gram pradhan emphasised the importance of such usefull programme at panchayat level. Such programme immedialtly

benifits womens from poor famlies/ labour classes.
