Richard Graham has been MP for Gloucester since 2010. He was Parliamentary Private Secretary (PPS) to two Ministers of State at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and is now the Prime Minister’s Trade Envoy to the ASEAN Economic Community, Malaysia, the Philippines and Indonesia.

He is Chairman of the All Party Parliamentary Group on China, Indonesia and Marine Energy and Tidal Lagoons and is a Director of the Great Britain China Centre.

Richard was previously an airline manager, a diplomat and an investment manager. He has worked in ten countries, speaks eight languages and is a charity trustee.

Dr. Linda Yueh is Fellow in Economics at St Edmund Hall, University of Oxford, and Adjunct Professor of Economics at London Business School. She is also Visiting Senior Fellow at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), and was Visiting Professor of Economics at Peking University.

Dr. Yueh is a broadcaster, the author of several books, and the Editor of the Routledge Series on Economic Growth and Development. She serves on several Boards, including the Coutts Foundation, Royal Commonwealth Society, Malaria No More UK, and on the supervisory Policy Committee of the Centre for Economic Performance at LSE as well as the Official Monetary Monetary and Financial Institutions Forum. She is former Co-Chair of the Global Cities Business Alliance of London First and ex-Board Member of London & Partners, the official promotion body of London.

H.E. Moazzam Malik is British Ambassador to Indonesia, ASEAN and Timor-Leste. He took up his post in October 2014.

Prior to his appointment as Ambassador, Moazzam was Acting Director General in the UK Department for International Development. He oversaw the UK’s engagement in the Middle East, Western Asia and led the UK relationship with multilateral organisations.

Outside Government, Moazzam has worked as a consultant economist advising large UK corporate clients and the World Bank amongst others; a researcher at the London School of Economics and the Overseas Development Institute; an adviser on monetary and foreign exchange policy in the Central Bank of Uganda; and run a production engineering business and an urban regeneration NGO based in London.

Moazzam is a graduate of the London School of Economics, holds a Masters degree from Oxford University, and a Chartered Diploma in Accounting and Finance from the ACCA.

A born and bred Londoner, Moazzam is married with three children. Outside work, he likes to read novels, watch films and theatre, follow football (Liverpool FC) and cricket, cook South Asian food, and play golf (badly).

Dr. Douglas Lippoldt is Chief Trade Economist in HSBC Global Research, based in London. He joined HSBC in August 2014 coming from the OECD in Paris where he worked for 22 years in various roles as a senior economist. Prior to that, he served seven years as an international economist with the US Department of Labor in Washington, DC.

Doug's central focus is on international trade issues. He has published extensively on trade topics as well as related aspects of economic development, labour market adjustment, innovation and intellectual property.

Doug holds a PhD in Economics from the Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Paris (Sciences Po), an MA in International Studies from the University of Denver, and a BA in International Studies from Washington College in Maryland, USA. He was a Fulbright Scholar at the University of Cologne, Germany. He represents HSBC as the deputy delegate on the B20 Trade and Investment Taskforce.

Dr Jürgen Haacke is Director of the Saw Swee Hock Southeast Asia Centre (SEAC) and Associate Professor in International Relations at LSE. His research interests include the study of ASEAN, the factors shaping foreign and security policies of Southeast Asian states, as well as the role and policies of major powers in relation to the ASEAN region. Dr Haacke has published in particular on the development of regional norms and practices, and their impact on regional cooperation in Southeast Asia. Over the last few years, he has also written extensively on multiple aspects of Myanmar’s foreign relations, and is currently working on a book manuscript on foreign policy entrepreneurship and US-Burma policy.
