Kesemua pingat berkenaan disampaikan bersempena Perbarisan Penganugerahan 'Battle Honour' Daulat Februari 2013 di Padang Merdeka di sini malam tadi. Yang turut hadir, Ketua Menteri, Datuk Seri Musa Aman; Timbalan Menteri Pertahanan, Datuk Mohd. Johari Baharom; Panglima Angkatan Tentera Jeneral Tan Sri Raja Mohamed Affandi Raja Mohamed Noor. Hadir sama, Panglima Tentera Darat Diraja Malaysia, Jeneral Datuk Seri Zulkiple Kassim; Panglima Tentera Laut Diraja Malaysia, Laksamana Tan Sri Abdul Aziz Jaafar dan Panglima Tentera Udara Diraja Malaysia, Jeneral Datuk Seri Affendi Buang. Pada 12 Februari 2013, kawasan timur Sabah telah dikejutkan dengan kehadiran 200 penceroboh bersenjata yang diketuai pengganas Agbimuddin Kiram. Berikutan itu, Ops Daulat dilancarkan pada 5 Mac 2013 selepas kejadian serangan hendap oleh pengganas Kiram di Kampung Tanduo, Lahad Datu dan Kampung Simunul, Semporna yang mengorbankan nyawa 10 anggota keselamatan. Operasi berkenaan menyaksikan 8,147 anggota keselamatan yang terdiri daripada Polis Diraja Malaysia (PDRM), Angkatan Tentera Malaysia (ATM) dan Agensi Penguatkuasaan Maritim Malaysia (Maritim Malaysia) terlibat dalam tugas-tugas khas di barisan hadapan bagi mempertahankan kedaulatan negara. Dalam tempoh berkenaan, seramai 72 orang penceroboh berjaya ditembak mati, lima cedera, 551 lagi ditahan dan dihadapkan ke muka pengadilan di bawah pelbagai kesalahan. Sementara itu, Hishammuddin dalam ucapannya berkata, majlis malam ini memberi makna kepada setiap rakyat untuk tidak lupa dengan kejadian tersebut serta sentiasa menghargai sumbangan yang diberikan pasukan keselamatan dalam menjaga kedaulatan negara. "Malam ini kita raikan setiap anggota keselamatan yang telah berkhidmat, kejadian berkenaan membuktikan bagaimana tingginya tahap keberanian dan patriotisme setiap anggota. Hatta, bersempena dengan peristiwa-peristiwa tersebut, terpalit diri untuk menyampaikan serta memperingatkan akan semangat perjuangan yang harus terus dipupuk dalam jiwa selaku warganegara juga sebagai anggota badan beruniform. Keamanan dan keharmonian yang dikecapi kini umum diketahui adalah hasil keperihan dan pengorbanan insan-insan terdahulu, selayaknya digelar pejuang, bermati-matian dalam usaha untuk mengembalikan kedaulatan Tanah Melayu pada suatu ketika dahulu. Semangat kepahlawanan serta keberanian jelas terpampang di setiap bait tuturcara, tingkah laku serta pemikiran setiap individu dengan tujuan yang satu iaitu demi mengembalikan senyuman serta gelak tawa pada generasi mendatang. Oleh hal yang sedemikian, pengorbanan pejuang-pejuang ter- dahulu janganlah dipersia begitu sahaja. Usai sudah peranan mer- eka dan kini kita selaku penyambung warisan, harus memainkan karakter sebagai pembela nusa dan bangsa dengan terus berjuang, terus bekorban dan terus berusaha mengekalkan apa yang dikecapi kini. Benar, ada mungkin kita tidak punyai kekentalan seumpama Lt Adnan, tidak punyai keberanian seumpama Kapt Hassan serta tidak segagah pejuang-pejuang lagenda pada masa dahulu. Namun, tidak mustahil untuk kita miliki semua itu sekiranya semangat pengor- banan telah kita pupuk dan pujuk dalam jiwa ini dari masa ke semasa.

Week-on-week, the FBM KLCI surged 72.13 points, or 4.75 percent to 1,590.16, with gains in Public Bank (+26sen), Tenaga (+53sen), Press Metal Aluminum Holdings (+49sen), IHH Healthcare (+61sen) and CIMB (+25sen) contributing most of the rise. Average daily traded volume last week moderately increased to 4.35 billion shares compared to the 4.03 billion shares the previous week, while value rose to RM2.88 billion against the RM2.16 billion average the previous week. The newfound strength in the local equity market is expected to last but could be subjected to bouts of profit taking consolidations to neutralize the overbought conditions as the benchmark FBMKLCI continues to rise on strong signs of political stability and likely full reopening of the domestic economy by this November. The positive move by the newly minted prime minister to meet up with leaders of the main opposition parties from Pakatan Harapan last week and their willingness to throw support behind the prime minister when a motion of confidence is tabled in parliament in September have added stability to the current government.
