Tokyo Babylon 2021: in uscita l’anime “Tokyo Babylon 2021” è il titolo della serie anime che adatta il manga “Tokyo Babylon“. Le CLAMP hanno pubblicato il manga sulle pagine di “Wings di Shinshokan” dal 1990 al 1993. In Italia sono stati pubblicati 7 volumi da Planet Manga nel 2001 e da D / Visual nel 2009. Il manga ha già ispirato un episodio anime originale nel 1992 e un secondo nel 1994. Ha anche ispirato un film live-action nel 1993. Il protagonista “Subaru Sumeragi” sarebbe poi apparso nel manga “X” di CLAMP e nei suoi adattamenti anime. I canali web ufficiali della produzione hanno diffuso un nuovo trailer, una nuova locandina ed il debutto della serie prevista verso aprile 2021. Staff e Cast Non ancora è risaputo di quanti episodi protrarrà la serie televisiva. La storia della serie animata verrà aggiornata ai giorni nostri, il manga offriva invece uno spaccato indimenticabile sulla Tokyo dei primi Anni ’90. Makoto Furuta si occupa del character design e insieme a Keiji Tani dirige l’animazione. Noriyuki Asakura compone la colonna sonora presso King Records . Il cast di Tokyo Babylon 2021 vede Shouta Aoi nel ruolo di Subaru Sumeragi, Nana Mizuki in quello di Hokuto Sumeragi e Yuichiro Umehara nella parte di Seishiro Sakurazuka. Shota Aoi canterà la canzone della opening, Nana Mizukii il brano della ending. Shingo Suzuki e Susumu Kudo dirigono la serie presso GoHands su sceneggiature coordinate da Jun Kumagai. Trama I due fratelli gemelli, Subaru e Hokuto, sono due sciamani onmyouji (letteralmente “maestro yin-yang”), entrambi eredi della famiglia Sumeragi che da sempre difende il Giappone da mostri e spiriti maligni con la propria arte magica. I due gemelli vivono ora nella capitale, a casa dell’affascinante amico veterinario Seishiro Sakurazuka ed anche lui onmyoji. Seishiro mostra di possedere già dal primo volume un lato“ oscuro” e, nonostante sia il più adulto dei tre (lui ha 25 anni e i gemelli 16), è il più infantile. Le sue continue dichiarazioni d’amore verso Subaru danno vita a gag esilaranti che al momento giusto smorzano l’atmosfera densa di tensione che il lettore può percepire durante i vari esorcismi. The Fantastic World of X/1999 Written by Stephanie Lau With the end of the century coming it is no wonder that the entertainment industry would take advantage of this opportunity to play with our minds. Though the apocalypse theme is an interesting one to play around, it can be worn out like any other. So why is CLAMP's apocalyptic X one of the most popular running mangas out there? What intrigued Animerica to translate and run it in their magazine (titled X/1999 in the US)? Of course, the fact that X feeds readers' lust for angst, destiny and doomed love is a strong reason, but also, it makes us, the readers, think, "What if some of this is really going to happen? How much of this might actually come true?" The art of X is enough to make readers stop and look through one of the tankoubans. The art quality and layout of X is what fans have come to expect from CLAMP. Although the art may draw readers in, the plot will keep them there to stay until the final battle, and maybe more. To make this idea interesting many of the characters aren't just "ordinary" people with super powers, but in addition, have roots in the underground occult world of Japan. The unexpected twists in the plot is masterly crafted by the queens of the strange, beautiful and downright weird (Miyuki-Chan in Wonderland? Mokona from MKR?). However, like most shoujo manga, it takes a few tankoubans to get to the action of the plot.
