(Switch) (Pause) The PE department is now looking for certified lifeguards for next fall/spring semesters. Students interested must be a certified lifeguard, but can earn money during their study hall working in the pool!! If interested for next year the blocks needed filled are G2, G3, M6, M7- PLEASE SEE MS. KELLER OR MR. PINKERTON IF INTERESTED ASAP!! Cheerleading Try-outs are today and will be held in the Upper Gym located by the concession stand. (Switch) Our Comedysportz team will compete in their last home match tonight at 7pm in the Studio Theater. We are hosting Westfield. If you need a good laugh or want to help us by calling out suggestions for improvisation, join us for only $5. US Service Academies: Interested in attending West Point, the Naval Academy, the Air Force Academy or the Merchant Marine Academy? To be eligible to apply to these academies, students must be nominated by either a US Senator from Indiana or the Representative for the district in which they live. Students can also receive an at-large nomination from the Vice-President of the United States. The nomination application process is involved, and applications are generally due in late October or early November of students’ senior year. The nomination application period begins May 15 for Representatives Susan Brooks and Andre Carson and is already open for Senators Dan Coats and Joe Donnelly. Interested juniors should begin this process as soon as possible. (Switch) All members of the girls soccer team are invited to attend a "meet the coach" gathering in the Bears Den tomorrow at 4:00 pm. The girls tennis team’s Smash Cancer event had to be rescheduled due to rain. Smash Cancer is now on Friday. Please join us in this fundraising sports event to raise money for the American Cancer Society. Tennis players are gathering pledges for every overhead smash they hit during their match and we will be selling homemade brownies, cookies and Rice Krispy treats. All proceeds will benefit the American Cancer Society. Come out to cheer us on as we Smash Cancer with our opponents, Noblesville High School. (Switch) Thespians: Current members and new initiates-don’t forget initiation tomorrow evening. Current members please stay after school for set up and new members arrive by 6:45. SENIORS: Senior Service Day is May 29 th in downtown Indy. Meet at LC in the auditorium at 8:50 am. Get on the buses and head downtown for Service work and a picnic. Transportation, lunch, and a cool t- shirt-all for $10. What a great deal! Pick up forms from Room 161 or 130. Turn forms and money by this Monday. Sorry for the short turn around. (Switch) Sports Results: Our girl’s tennis team beat Southport 5-0 and our boy’s golf team had a win over Franklin Central with a score of 155-164. Tony Rogers and Colin McCarthy were Co-Medalists with a score of 37.
