Quick Guide for Activating Esim on Iphones Quick guide for activating eSIM on iPhones: Convert your Jio physical SIM to eSIM or transfer Jio eSIM from one device to another device iPhone models equipped with eSIM: Sr. No Models 1 Apple iPhone XR 2 Apple iPhone Xs Step 1- These iPhone models equipped with 3 Apple iPhone XS Max eSIM allows you to convert your Physical Jio SIM 4 Apple iPhone 11 to eSIM or existing Jio eSIM to eSIM 5 Apple iPhone 11 Pro 6 Apple iPhone 11 Pro Max Note : For Apple devices eSIM is supported on 7 Apple iPhone SE (2nd generation) iOS version 12.1 or higher, please upgrade to 8 Apple iPhone 12 Mini latest software version on these eligible 9 Apple iPhone 12 handsets and make it eSIM ready 10 Apple iPhone 12 Pro 11 Apple iPhone 12 Pro Max Step2: Send SMS GETESIM <32 Digit EID> <15 Digit IMEI> to 199 from your device having active Jio SIM Please refer upcoming steps on how to get details of EID and IMEI To get information about IMEI and EID, tap settings then tap on About phone for EID and IMEI Step 3 : Once you have shared the details of IMEI and EID on 199, you will receive the 19 digit eSIM number and eSIM profile configuration details. Along with that you will also receive a Push Notification on your IPhone depending on your device settings which can be referred later to configure the profile on your device . If no notification received on your device or you missed the notification, don’t worry refer the ongoing steps ( Profile configuration or Data Plan Installation on device can be done post completing all the steps mentioned ahead. Step 3 : After receiving the 19 digit eSIM number and eSIM profile configuration message, type SIMCHG <19 digits eSIM number> and send to 199 Step 4 : An update on eSIM processing will be shared with you after 2 hours. Once you have received the message, share your confirmation by sending ‘1’ to 183 as SMS. Step 5 : After sharing confirmation on SMS, you will receive an automated call on your Jio number requesting to share the 19 digit eSIM number. Keep your 19 digit eSIM number handy for this step. Once you have shared the correct eSIM number, confirmation of successful activation of services on your new eSIM will be shared through SMS. At this stage, your existing SIM will stop working and you need to configure your eSIM to use the services Please Note: If all the steps mentioned above are not completed within 6 days, your request will get auto cancelled on the 7th day. In order to activate eSIM, you can initiate a fresh request again. Your request will not be initiated if incorrect details are shared. You are just one step away to activate eSIM. To complete the activation process, eSIM profile needs to be configured on your iPhone Device. Please ensure that your Phone is connected with Wi-Fi network or via any Mobile Hotspot during this process. Please Note : Follow any of the steps given as visible at your end to install Data Plan or configure eSIM profile on your IPhone If below PUSH Notification is Tap on the notification and Select Add Data Plan to reflecting on your device select install data plan Confirm the new mobile option plan addition Incase no notification Select Add Data Plan to Jio eSIM gets successfully reflecting on your device Confirm the new mobile plan activated and is reflected as Screen. Go to Settings, Select addition SECONDARY in Mobile Data Jio Data Plan Ready to be installed Incase notification not Select Add Data Plan Select the reserved Jio Select Add Data Plan to reflecting in Device Data plan that will Confirm the new mobile screen or Settings screen, reflect on your screen plan addition Then Select Mobile Data Selected Data plan addition in Select Continue to Confirm the Jio eSIM gets successfully Progress new mobile plan addition activated and is reflected as SECONDARY in Mobile Data Do Not Perform this action Do not select “Remove Data Plan" option from settings as this will permanently delete the eSIM profile. If you have unknowingly removed it then please visit your nearest Jio Store, Reliance Digital or Jio Retailer with your Proof of Identity & Photograph to get the eSIM profile configured again on your handset. To locate your nearest Jio Store, login to MyJio app Congratulations ! Your Jio eSIM services is successfully configured on your iPhone. Thank You!.

    Reliance Industries and Reliance Communications Sign Telecom Tower Pact The Ambani brothers have signed a mega deal to share mobile telecom towers. The agreement would permit Reliance Jio Infocomm, a subsidiary of Mukesh Ambani's, Reliance Industries Limited to rent 45000 telecom towers of Anil's Reliance Communications for a period of 15 years. Reliance Jio Infocomm will pay Rs. 12000 crores to Reliance Communication for this lease, which translates to around Rs. 14000-15000 per tower per month. The deal is a win-win for both the companies as it provides a regular income stream for Reliance Comunications and a quicker and economical network capability to Reliance Jio Infocomm when it rolls out its 4G services. Reliance Jio Infocomm could commence occupying some of the towers in the next six months. As per the market sources, Reliance Jio Infocomm did a hard bargain as the prevailing market rental value for a telecom tower ranges around Rs. 25000 - 30000 per month. Reliance Communication will use a large part of the proceeds to retire debt. It has an outstanding debt of around Rs 39,000 crores. This is the second telecom business deal between the two Ambani brothers. Earlier, in April this year these two companies had signed a Rs. 1200 crore pact to share the optic fibre network for carrying call traffic across the country. According to Gurdeep Singh - chief executive (mobility), Reliance Communications, it is possible that these two firms will sign more deals that are mutually beneficial. Synergies in telecom operations appear to have brought the two family factions together.
