Disclosure of Educational Record Information Grand View University is concerned about students’ right to privacy and follows the policy stated below, which is in accordance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974: The University will obtain consent from students before disclosing personally identifiable information from their educational records, except when legally allowed to do so. An exception to this is for students who are financially dependent upon their parents. Release of some types of information may be made to parents if the student has indicated on the FAFSA that he/she is a dependent of that parent.
