LETTRE HEBDOMADAIRE DE RESULTATS N° 21 - 31 JUILLET 2006 Demaria devra attendre la dernière épreuve Championnat du Monde de Motocross MX1 - MX2 Le retour sur le vieux continent du Championnat du Monde, à Loket en République Tchèque, a souri à Christophe Pourcel. Vainqueur l'an passé de sa première manche mondiale de sa carrière, Christophe a obtenu la seconde place de l'épreuve, tout en marquant deux points de plus qu'Antonio Cairoli, son dauphin au classement provisoire. Pourtant mal parti en première manche suite à un accrochage au départ, Christophe allait remonter de la seizième à la sixième place. Fort de cette mauvaise expérience, le pilote Kawasaki changea de place sur la grille pour la seconde manche. Idée bénéfique, puisque parti en seconde position et leader un temps, Christophe décrocha la deuxième place pour repartir de l'Est avec trente-quatre points d'avance à la veille du rendez-vous de Namur. L'autre meilleure performance française MX2 revient à l'aîné des " Pourcel Brothers ", Sébastien qui a obtenu les seizième et huitième places lors des deux manches. Pascal Leuret, notre seul représentant français en MX1, conserve sa septième place du provisoire avec une neuvième et dix-septième places en manches, loin de la onzième victoire en onze épreuves de Stefan Everts. Championnat du Monde MX3 A Samakov, lors de l'avant-dernière épreuve du Championnat, Yves Demaria a été mis en difficulté. Arrivé en leader avec quatorze points d'avance sur son rival, Sven Breugelmans, le Marseillais repart de Bulgarie, certes toujours chef de file mais avec onze points d'avance seulement.

Sébastien chutait dès le premier tour de la première manche après un mauvais départ, remontait à la lisière des points avant de chuter à nouveau ! Il devait s'employer à fond pour s'emparer de la septième place. Sa seconde envolée n'était guère plus favorable… Englué dans un groupe compact, il parvenait à s'emparer de la troisième place avant de chuter à nouveau en tentant de déborder un autre concurrent, en l'occurrence le pilote belge De Dycker et finissait cette fois huitième. Quatrième à un point de Kevin Strijbos, Sébastien peut espérer monter sur la troisième marche à l'issue d'une finale néerlandaise qui s'avère musclée en raison de la nature du terrain mais également du titre qui devrait se jouer entre Steve Ramon et Josh Coppins Championnat du Monde de Motocross MX2 Vainqueur de sa manche qualificative, Nicolas Aubin s'impose avec une belle autorité en première manche devant le vainqueur de l'épreuve, Tommy Searle après avoir mené de bout en bout et termine à la cinquième place lors de la seconde après un mauvais départ. Arrow and Off-Road: a Long-Lasting
So successful was he at creating improved horsepower and power delivery through his new exhaust systems, that Giorgio made a decision not to compete any longer and concentrate on producing exhausts and other performance oriented parts for off-road motorcycles, with a range of handlebars and exhaust systems (mainly for two-strokes engines) designed and developed together with Michele Rinaldi, at the time the Arrow and Off-Road: 125cc-class World Champion. Activities soon moved to the higher classes and Arrow’s commitment in a long-lasting tradition off-road races was repaid in 1987, when Georges Jobé won the 500cc-class World Championship. This outstanding success in the two-stroke era led to Arrow deciding to also get involved in the emerging four-stroke off-road motorcycle market, beginning the next chapter in Arrow’s history. Giorgio did not select an easy path, choosing to concentrate on exhausts In 1985, Arrow’s founder, Giorgio Giannelli, an off-road and parts for motorcycles to be ridden in the World’s toughest terrain, the rider, was just a couple of steps away from becoming sand-roads and dunes of the infamous Paris-Dakar rallies. Once again, a professional when he decided to improve the hard work achieved results, with Edi Orioli winning the 1988 Paris-Dakar, performance of the motorcycles he was riding. The third edition of the FIM Off Road Awards was a superb celebration where all the Off Road World and European Champions received their prize after an extremely battled but successful season of racing. Surrounded by the beautiful night view of the Monte Carlo bay, and with an orchestra playing in the background, all the authors of this fantastic 2007 season were given a prize representing the reward of their hard work. Plutôt bien parti au guidon de son mulet, il parvient à entrer dans les points, avant de perdre des places aux environ du vingtième tour suite à un tout-droit provoqué par un autre concurrent et il termine à la lisière des points, seizième… En 250, très belle course de Sylvain Guintoli qui termine à sa place habituelle (mais pas préférée), la huitième, à 26 secondes du vainqueur, Lorenzo. Jules Cluzel termine à nouveau dans les points, quatorzième à un peu plus d'une minute du vainqueur.
