Payroll Stand Up Talk October 2019 Virtual Timecard The Virtual Timecard is a new application coming on November 1st to USPS Lite Blue as an “Employee App – Quick Link” option. It is designed to provide secure near real-time access to an employee’s own time clock entries and their accrued workhours as recorded in the Time and Attendance Collection System (TACS). The data in the Virtual Timecard is refreshed approximately every 5 minutes. Time clock employees, including those who use an Electronic Badge Reader (EBR) to record their clock rings, will be able to view their clock rings, and accumulated workhours by workhour category, for the current pay period, every day, anytime, using their own computer or mobile device (smartphone or tablet). The Virtual Timecard application will also include a Frequently Asked Question (FAQ) section. Q1: Where does Virtual Timecard data come from? A1: Virtual Timecard data comes from clock rings recorded in the Time & Attendance Collection System (TACS). Q2: How often is Virtual Timecard data refreshed? Press and hold the Side button on the right side of your iPhone. 2. At the same time, click the Volume up button on the left side, then release the buttons. 3. Pull down the notification panel, switch to Shortcuts, and tap the Screenshot icon. LG phones 1. LG G7: Press and hold the power and volume-down buttons for a couple of seconds. 2. All other LG phones: Hold down the power (located on the back of the phone) and volume-down buttons for a couple of seconds. Motorola, ZTE phones 3. Hold down the power and volume-down buttons for a couple of seconds. OnePlus phones 1. All OnePlus phones: Press and hold the power and volume-down buttons for a couple of seconds. 2. Galaxy S8 and later: Hold down the power and volume-down buttons for a couple of seconds. 4. Galaxy S7 and earlier: Hold down the home and power buttons for a couple of seconds. Google Assistant 1. On supported phones, you can also ask Google Assistant to take a screenshot for you. When you're on the screen you want to snap, just say, "OK Google, take a screenshot," and it will oblige, saving a picture of the screen below the Assistant interface. So if you want to capture the Google Assistant screen itself, you'll have to use the hardware buttons. Computers Instructions Windows 7 and 8 1. In older versions of Windows, you can merely press the Print Screen key (also marked “Print,” “PrtScn,” or “PrtSc” on some keyboards). This doesn’t actually save a copy of the screen, it copies the screen into the Windows clipboard, which can then be pasted (Ctrl+V) into any image field or graphics editor, like Paint, Paint.NET, Corel Draw, or Photoshop. Windows 8.1 and 10 1. With a significant update to Windows 8.1 and following into Windows 10, Microsoft added some more modern tools. You can still use the Print Screen button to insert an image into an editor, but if you’d rather just quickly get an image file, you can press the Windows button and Print Screen at the same time (Win + PrtScn). The images will go to the “Screenshots” folder in your personal user’s Pictures folder (c:/Users/Your username/Pictures/Screenshots). Microsoft’s Surface and Other 1. To take a screenshot from the keyboard, Windows Tablets press Fn+Win+spacebar all at once. 2. Older Surface and Surface Pro tablets can also take a screenshot by pressing the Windows button on the tablet (beneath the screen) and the Down Volume button at the same time. For newer Surface models and more general Windows 10 tablets, press the Power button and Volume Down at the same time. 5 How to Take a Screenshot of your Virtual Timecard on Smart Devices (Phones, Tablets) and Computers Computers Instructions macOS 1. To take a screenshot of your Mac’s entire screen, press Shift+Command+3. The image is saved directly to the desktop. To copy the image instead of saving it so that it can be inserted into an editor, Windows-style, press Command+Control+Shift+3. Chrome OS (Chromebook) 1. To take a screenshot, hold down Ctrl and then press the Switch Window button. That’s the box with two horizontal lines to the right, in between the Full Screen button and the Brightness Down button on most Chromebook keyboard layouts. An image of the full desktop will be saved to your Chrombook’s Download folder. 6 .
