TALLENTIRE WIND FARM Construction Newsletter 1 June 2012 Welcome to the first in a series of newsletters from RES designed to keep the local community informed throughout the construction process of Tallentire Wind Farm. We are delighted to announce that Tallentire is now ready for construction and work will start in early July. Since receiving consent to build the six turbine wind farm in February 2011, we have been preparing the project for construction. We have submitted our detailed Construction Method Statement to Allerdale Borough Council and this has been approved, together with all pre-construction planning conditions. The wind farm will begin generating electricity next Spring, and this will see the start of the community benefit fund of £25,000 per year for 25 years for local people to invest in local projects. You can learn more about the construction programme, how a wind farm is built and the community benefit fund inside.
