Lieutenant Colonel Colin Cremin is a 1995 graduate of Texas Christian University and later attended Army Officer Candidate School where he was commissioned an Armor Officer in May 2001. LTC Cremin’s first assignment was to the 2nd Battalion, 37th Armor Regiment in Friedberg, Germany, where he served as a Tank Platoon Leader and Company Executive Officer. LTC Cremin then moved to Fort Riley, Kansas, where he commanded Fox Company and Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 1st Battalion, 34th Armor Regiment. His next assignment was to Camp Casey, Korea, where he commanded Charlie Company, 2nd Battalion, 9th Infantry Regiment. After relinquishing command, LTC Cremin was assigned to the United States Military Academy to join the Eisenhower Leadership Development Program where he earned a Master’s Degree in Organizational Psychology from Columbia University. Upon completion of the program, he served as the Tactical Officer of Cadet Company D-1 at West Point for one year before being selected to serve as the exchange officer to the United States Air Force Academy. LTC Cremin served as the Air Officer Commanding (AOC) of Cadet Squadron 37, Cadet Group 4, U.S. Air Force Academy, Colorado, for two years before being assigned as the Operations Officer to the United States Liaison Office, US Embassy, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Following his tour at the embassy, LTC Cremin was assigned to Fort Benning, where he served as the Executive Officer for the 2nd Squadron, 16th Cavalry Regiment and as the Brigade Operations Officer for the 199th Infantry Brigade. LTC Cremin was then assigned to Wiesbaden, Germany, where he served as the Executive Officer for the U.S Army Europe Chief of Staff for two years prior to returning to Fort Benning, where he now commands 5-15 Cavalry Squadron. LTC Cremin’s education includes the Armor Officer Basic Course, the Infantry Captain’s Career Course, the Eisenhower Leader Development Program, and the Command and General Staff College. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from Texas Christian University and a Master of Arts from Columbia University. LTC Cremin’s awards and decorations include the Silver Star, the Bronze Star with Valor device, the Bronze Star, the Purple Heart, the Meritorious Service Medal with four oak leaf clusters, the Commendation Medal with Valor device, the Pathfinder Badge, the Combat Action Badge, and Parachutist Wings. In addition, he is a member of the Order of Saint George, the Order of Saint Maurice, and received his spurs while attached to the 2nd Armored Cavalry Regiment. .
