Description Ardrhu House is set in landscaped grounds of approximately 2 acres, with sweeping lawns and mature trees and bordering the shore of Loch Linnhe. Thought to date from 1891, the property was built using traditional construction methods using stone under a slate roof. The house offers flexible accommodation on two floors; comprising over 4000 sq ft, its lochside location is simply stunning. Pillared gates lead to the gravelled driveway to the front of the house with parking for several cars. Stone steps leads to the double storm doors to an entrance porch with tiled floor and half glazed doors which lead to the broad welcoming reception hall. The hall has wooden flooring, decorative cornicing and a stairway to the upper floor. To the left of the reception hall is the wonderful and expansive drawing room which is 32 feet long and has fireplaces to both ends of the room, a turret window, a wooden floor, decorative cornicing and superb views. The modern fitted kitchen has base and wall units along with a Belfast sink, central island and access to the inner hallway which houses the laundry room and a WC . There is a door to the rear porch which in turn has a door leading to the side garden. From the kitchen and also accessed from the reception hallway is the sitting room/games room with fireplace; this leads to the conservatory which has stone tiled floors and wonderful views of the garden and over the loch. The gym, shower room, sauna and further WC complete the downstairs accommodation. The first floor is accessed by an elegant, broad staircase with wooden balustrade and hand rail leading to a half landing that splits to either side of the house.
