COVID update

We are very aware of the national rise in Covid 19 cases. Although the South West remains low, it is important that we remain vigilant and follow the guidance outlined by Public Health England. A letter detailing the latest advice was emailed to parents this week. If a member of your household displays any of the symptoms of coronavirus (high temperature, a new continuous cough &/or loss of smell/taste) the whole household must self-isolate for 14 days. In this situation, your child(ren) must stay at home and not come to school. Your child does not need a test if they have a runny nose, are sneezing or feeling unwell but do not have Covid-19 symptoms. If you are unsure about whether to get a test, please check the official list of symptoms on the NHS website (www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/symptoms) which is reviewed regularly, or seek further advice from 119, 111 or your GP. Only the person displaying symptoms should get a test. Positive test results must be reported to the school office immediately to enable us to follow the NHS Test and Trace guidance.
