Lisaks elamutele on kavas osa maad reserveerida ärimaaks ja ka segahoo- nestusega aladeks. Praegu on linnaosa põhimagistraalidel tipptundidel ummikud. Asumite tihendamise, uute elamualade loomise ja teede infrastruktuuri tõhustamisega kaas- nevad järgmised keskkonnamõjud ning probleemid: • rohekoridoride likvideerimise reaalne oht; praegu kulgeb üks rohekoridor üle Astan- gu, Harku järve kaldaääre ja Pikaliiva asumi Kakumäe poolsaarele (Õismäe raba); tei- ne ohustatav rohekoridor on Mustoja suudmeala, kuhu üldplaneeringu järgi kavanda- takse elamuala võib katkestada rohekoridori Kopli lahe rannaalal • surve suurenemine Harku järvele ja järvevee kvaliteedile; sadevee ja ka reostunud kuivendusvee juhtimine järve; oht puhke- ja supluskohale • müra ja välisõhusaaste suurenemine suurte magistraalide ääres • eritasandiristmikud ja liiklusmagistraalide rekonstrueerimine (laiendamine) toovad kaasa lühiajalise leevenduse liiklusummikute vältimiseks.
