[email protected] Our Lady of Mount Carmel Schenectady, NY REFLECTION FOR TODAY Naaman, a foreigner, returns to Elisha and promises to worship God exclu- sively after he is cured of his leprosy. Another foreigner, a Samaritan, is the only one of ten lepers who return to thank Jesus after being cured. Physically and socially, their lives have been completely transformed and their immediate response is to return and give thanks. As we listen to today’s readings, let us consider how God has blessed us, so we can sincerely respond, “Thanks be to God.” FAMILY PERSPECTIVE : By: Bud Ozar Everyone needs “A Round Tuit.” The lepers in today’s gospel probably meant to thank Jesus. Excited about be- ing cured they didn’t get ‘around-to-it.’ We get caught up in our own interests and fail to appreciate what we have or to say what is in our hearts. This week get yourself “A Round Tuit.” RESPECT LIFE : “When the seas of life Readings for the week of October swell and we are battered by the waves, hope 13, 2019 Sunday: 2 Kgs 5:14-17/Ps allows us to remain anchored in the heart of 98:1, 2-3, 3-4 [cf. 2b]/2 Tm 2:8-13/Lk God.
