Further, he requested Dr. Mohan R. Girap, Secretary, Goa-SEAC to appraise the members on two important issues namely – (a) salient features of the Environment Impact Assessment (EIA) Notification, 2006 and the mandate as well as objectives for the constitution of SEIAA & SEAC in respective States and (b) Modus operandi to scrutinize project proposal seeking prior Environmental Clearance (EC) for construction-related projects.
