Research Experience:

1) 2015 December – present- Working on agrobiodiversity conservation, restoration and characterization of traditional rice varieties of West Bengal. Identification of drought resistance traditional varieties of West Bengal and implementation of these varieties in drought prone agricultural region of West Bengal for sustainable agriculture.

2) 2011 March-2015 November- Research fellow at Deptt. of Botany, Vinoba Bhave University, Hazaribag, India, work with Dr. PK Mishra. Carried out research on conservation and restoration of Landraces rice biodiversity of West Bengal, their

morphological, biochemical and statistical analysis; and effect of Biofertilizer on growth performance and yield production of rice plant.

3) 2012 March – 2014 Mach: Working as a principal investigator in UGC Minor Research Project entitled “Performance study of some under exploited plants for land reclamation in coalmine area of Raniganj and ”. At Department of Botany, Bankura Sammilani College, Bankura, West Bengal.

Working experience: i) Working as an Assistant Professor, at Department of Botany, Raghunathpur College, Raghunathpur, Purulia, West Bengal, from 22-08-2019 to till date. Area of Work- Ecology and environmental Biotechnology, Mycology and Plant Pathology. ii) Working as Part time Lecturer (PTT), at Department of Botany, Bankura Sammilani College, Bankura from 20-08-2007 to 21-08-2019.

This centre conserving more than 300 traditional rice and others crop varieties and running a field seed bank. This society has been awarded “Plant Genome Saviour Community Award-2015-16” by the Protection of Plant Variety & Farers Right Authority (PPV&FRA), Department of Agriculture, Cooperation & Farmers Welfare, Ministry of Agriculture, Govt. of India, on 2019.
