NASA Connection That’s exactly the applied learning experience Stott, who trained at Aquarius in 2006 for her first mission to the International Space Station, envi- sioned when she first suggested Embry-Riddle team up with NASA at Aquarius. Robertson says hands-on experiences like NEEMO are impactful for students, and that’s why he supports them. “It’s the difference between our students and those from somewhere else. And, it’s a huge difference. They come out of here useful on day one, because of projects like these.”

He will return to Earth in May. One of six alumni who are NASA astro- MAKING OUR nauts, Virts is slated to conduct spacewalks to prepare the ISS to receive crewed capsules in development. He will also work on some of the 240 experiments onboard the ISS, largely centered on answering key questions that will allow humans to travel to deep space and ulti- mately to Mars. This is not the fi rst time Virts, who is com- manding Expedition 43, has visited the space station. Changing Lives, One Scarf at a Time
