The Mackenzie Tour’s mission is to deliver a PGA TOUR experience for members, fans, volunteers, and partners – to develop the future stars of professional golf and enrich the communities we visit. Canada Life Open Formerly known as the Freedom 55 Financial Open, the Canada Life Open is the first stop on the Mackenzie Tour, and will be hosted at the prestigious Seymour Golf & Country Club. As the first tournament on the schedule, the Canada Life Open boasts the best field of the year. Seymour Golf & Country Club Known for its superb conditioning, treed fairways and tough greens, Seymour hosted the B.C. Men’s Amateur Championship in 2014, where the winning score over four days was even-par and boasted a field of well-known players, including PGA TOUR player Adam Svensson and current Mackenzie Tour player Jared du Toit. That same year, the PGA of British Columbia selected Seymour Golf & Country Club as its Golf Course of the Year. Tyson Alexander and Taylor Moore both experienced rollercoaster rounds Saturday, finishing the evening with 14-under 202s and breaking the tournament’s 54-hole scoring record by a stroke. Alexander and Moore hold a two-stroke lead over 46-year-old Tag Ridings, who will join them in the final group Sunday. Brett Coletta and eventual champion Nelson Ledesma previously set the 54-hole scoring record with matching 13-under 203s in the inaugural TPC Colorado Championship at Heron Lakes in 2019. Sunday will be new territory for both Alexander and Moore. Neither has held a share of the 54-hole lead in a Korn Ferry Tour event, with this being Alexander’s 56th start and Moore’s 93rd.
