COLLEGE MISSION To provide a quality educational experience in an environment that encourages and enables our students to succeed in a constantly changing world. CONCEPT AND PRODUCTION Ally Koller and Cherelyn Gillson DESIGN, GRAPHICS AND PRINTING Cherelyn Gillson — Graphic Design, Harding Colour — Printing Principal’s Foreword 2018 has seen us maintain our enrolment of 1400 students from Kindergarten through to Year 12. We have continued to go from strength to strength in the academic, sporting and cultural arenas of College life. Much of this has been made possible by the wonderful partnership we have between the home and the school. As a College we have been blessed with the support provided by our parents in so many facets of College life. As a measure of our appreciation we would like to return some of that support to our parent body by increasing the Sheldon College network. Whenever your family requires something, reference to our College Directory will immediately provide you with the names of parent suppliers who can meet your needs. Why not give our Sheldon College family first opportunity to assist you with your personal requirements? As a result, our College Community will benefit and flourish. Sheldon College is a College that believes in the benefits of the home and the school working together to provide the very best educational outcomes we can for our students. Your support of our College Directory would be very much appreciated, and no doubt, will enhance the overall capacity of our College to become one of the finest educational institutions in the State. The Directory is a comprehensive reference for our College community. It is also an easy way to keep in touch and is beneficial to both our advertisers and the College community. Listings are under the Student Surnames and all Sheldon College families are invited to be listed in the Directory to make contacting one another easy. Mobiles are listed as (M) for Mother and (F) for Father. The FRESCO Directory is also a products and services Directory which contains many special offers to encourage College family and local business networking. The free distribution of the FRESCO Directory is only possible through the generous support received from the advertisers. We encourage you all to consider and consult our advertisers when you are next looking to make a purchase or organise a quotation. Please contact Ms Ally Koller in the Marketing Office for any advertising enquiries on 07 3206 5516. Visit our College Website to see the online Directory and take advantage of the Special Offers listed therein. Please let our advertisers know you found them in the FRESCO Directory. Ms Ally Koller, FRESCO Directory Co-ordinator. Sheldon College Foundation BUILDING FOUNDATIONS TODAY FOR TOMORROW’S SUCCESS. Great schools have a proud and noble history. Our College Community at Sheldon College has the privilege of creating history daily and establishing the traditions that are Sheldon College and will become our College heritage in the future. The development of our College is based on collaborative partnerships with our College Community whereby Together Each Achieves More Success. Our College parents and wider community are actively involved in planning the educational future of our students. PURPOSE The Sheldon College Foundation was established to facilitate the development of alternative sources of funding; to assist in providing state-of-the-art educational facilities, and to enhance the College’s excellent academic programs and resources. The Sheldon College Board, Academic Staff, Parents and Friends understand the need for a greater reliance on private and corporate sources of funding, as traditional sources of Government funding cannot be relied upon in the future to meet the ever increasing demands of schools. The Foundation enables the College to continually develop the unique learning environment that currently exists and to fulfil the Vision and Mission of the College through the provision of capital funds for building programs, specific funding of new academic developments, and the generation of regular income from selected investments. All funds raised by the Foundation are directed towards the achievement of the College goals and objectives. The Sheldon College FRESCO and its committees support the Foundation and its activities. With this in mind I build my pieces with emphasis on space, form, color, line, rhythm, and content. Artists are image makers and like the world's antennas, they feel, think and express reality. Momentarily I focus on "defining our spaces", like building a new society, using color, form and line as the building blocks. In addition to my public art projects I have developed a series of "color molecule" sculptures. The sculptures represent an homage to the smallest building block of life, the molecules. The theme is called "metamorphosis" which means change, and I see my work fitiing to the theme, as we all have metamorphed from molecules to a human being, so honoring the smallest entity in us seems allright. The work has semi circular motions, which gives a light feeling. The piece is 14' x 6;' x 6'. It is powder coated, the main color being turquise with colored glass inserted in the molecules. When the light shines through 3) Art Installation and De-Installation PlanPlease reference the attached site plan and provide an installation and de-installation plan and requirements for the attachment of the Artwork and the type of hardware to be used for the attachment.
