JOB DESCRIPTION CHIEF MARKETING OFFICER THE ROLE To maintain our position as the global leader in female motorsport, while helping us become the most watched and globally recognised women’s sport in the world. wseries.com KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Plan, deliver and measure our global marketing strategy across multiple channels • Recruit, train and motivate the marketing, digital and comms teams to deliver that strategy • Set KPIs, goals and objectives and ensure they are met • Budget effectively • Work in absolute partnership with C-Suite • Significantly increase and diversify our fan base, exploiting opportunities to engage with them • Significantly increase our sponsorship and partner base, exploiting opportunities to engage with them • Truly understand our brand proposition and target audience, then effectively communicate this to all levels of the business • Champion the core values of W Series as it builds on its national and global brand • Maximise all commercial opportunities in relation to our unique D&I strategy Key Knowledge AND EXPERIENCE • Currently working as a CMO, Marketing Director or Head of Marketing • At least 8 years marketing experience • Success at recruiting, motivating, inspiring, and managing a team of 10+ people both directly and in-directly • Developing and steering international marketing campaigns with a consistent focus on the brand’s purpose, vision, and strategic direction • Digital and tech savvy, including CRM • Strong strategic, analytical, and project management skills • Ability to network, present a highly professional image when representing W Series and act as a Brand Ambassador • Building and structuring a new team/department • Development and execution of commercial growth strategies • Ability to see beyond the norm, try and test new strategies and approaches wseries.com DESIRABLE Experience • Leading digital marketing and communication teams • Leading a highly success rebrand project • Working in a marketing role outside of the UK • Working with influencers • Some experience working in an SME PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES • Passion for sport • Happy to travel to events, work weekends, and become absorbed in our project • A team player with high emotional intelligence • Strategic mindset, yet hands on when needed • Entrepreneurial spirit • Truly live our values of equality and inclusion • Laughs.
