Table1.—Attribute data for the map "Mineral Facilities of Asia and the Pacific," 2007 (Open-File Report 2010-1254). [The United States Geological Survey (USGS) surveys international mineral industries to generate statistics on the global production, distribution, and resources of industrial minerals. This directory highlights the economically significant mineral facilities of Asia and the Pacific. Distribution of these facilities is shown on the accompanying map. Each record represents one commodity and one facility type for a single location. Facility types include mines, oil and gas fields, and processing plants such as refineries, smelters, and mills. Facility identification numbers (“Position”) are ordered alphabetically by country, followed by commodity, and then by capacity (descending). The “Year” field establishes the year for which the data were reported in Minerals Yearbook, Volume III – Area Reports: Mineral Industries of Asia and the Pacific. In the “DMS Latitiude” and “DMS Longitude” fields, coordinates are provided in degree-minute-second (DMS) format; “DD Latitude” and “DD Longitude” provide coordinates in decimal degrees (DD). Data were converted from DMS to DD. Coordinates reflect the most precise data available. Where necessary, coordinates are estimated using the nearest city or other administrative district.“Status” indicates the most recent operating status of the facility. Closed facilities are excluded from this report. In the “Notes” field, combined annual capacity represents the total of more facilities, plus additional

NORLAILI ABDUL AZIZ Cyberjaya University College of Medical Science, Malaysia. The health status of Malaysians has been comparable to some developed country, with her successful dual healthcare system and equal shares of healthcare financing. The government pro-industry orientation has boosted up the tourist industry in general and health tourist industry specifically, which has shown tremendous achievements since the last decade. Malaysia is the preferred destinations for medical tourism nowadays, given the low exchange rates, highly qualified medical specialist, high technology medical devices, international credentialed safety and quality services, and the comparable medical cost around the regions. Her multi ethnics, various respectable cultures, beautiful country with peaceful and politically stable environment, good climate around the year, friendly and English speaking population are among other factors that have made Malaysia popularly visited for health reasons. The market attracts not only the people from neighboring countries like Indonesia and Singapore, but also from Japan.

  • MALAYSIAN MUSLIMS CELEBRATE AIDILFITRI with JOY (Bernama 19
19 JAN 1999 Raya-Roundup MALAYSIAN MUSLIMS CELEBRATE AIDILFITRI WITH JOY KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 19 (Bernama) -- Malaysian Muslims from all walks of life celebrated Hari Raya Puasa today with joy although not as lavishly as in the past years of economic boom. Moderation and pragmatism seemed to be the order of the day as they marked the end of their month-long fast of Ramadan with new clothes and "open house" where they welcomed friends and kin with specially cooked food. Many of them had returned to their hometowns to celebrate aidilfitri with their loved ones and to seek forgiveness from each other for any inadvertent wrongdoing, this being the day to renew bonds and to start afresh. Steeped in tradition, they made their way to the nearest mosque first thing in the morning for their prayers and thanksgiving to Allah. In the federal capital, the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Tuanku Ja'afar, and Raja Permaisuri Agong, Tuanku Najihah, accompanied by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Mahathir Mohamad, were among the thousands who performed their prayers at the National Mosque. Present were newly-appointed Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, several cabinet ministers and ambassadors of fellow Muslim nations. In KUALA KANGSAR, the Sultan of Perak, Sultan Azlan Shah, performed Aidilfitri prayers at Masjid Ubudiah in Bukit Chandan with over 2,000 of his subjects. Present were Menteri Besar Tan Sri Ramli Ngah Talib and other state dignitaries. After the prayers, the sultan held open house for special guests at Istana Iskandariah while Ramli held open house at his official residence in Jalan Raja Dihilir.
