Cubed Circle Newsletter 201 – We're Not Dead
Cubed Circle Newsletter 201 – We're Not Dead Given the absence of a newsletter last week following our 200th issue the week prior new readers could be forgiven for thinking that we were on an unannounced extended hiatus. However, as long- time readers will know this newsletter, if anything, is vulnerable to technical difficulties, even ones as trivial as the loss of a laptop charger on holiday. However, after a week off not only are we back with a double issue featuring our last piece of G1 coverage, two weeks of NXT, Mid-South from 1982, and two weeks of RAW featuring Sting, but we also have the debut of a brand new column – the Pro-Wres Digest! The goal of the Digest is to encapsulate the week that was in pro-wrestling in 3-4 pages, providing a TL;DR of sorts for those unable to devote enough time to following every news story that breaks in a given week. – Ryan Clingman, Cubed Circle Newsletter Editor The Pro-Wres Digest for September 6th - 12th. Ben Carass. On Friday September 4th, John Cena was thought to have suffered an injury during a house show match with Kevin Owens in Hampton, VA. Amazingly, it wasn’t the springboard stunner that went wrong but another move John Cena should not be attempting, the code/infrared. Cena went for the move and Owens kind of just fell down on his chest; imagine an axe-guillotine driver but with Owens losing his balance too. When the report first broke, people were freaking out about Cena possibly suffering a neck injury, since they did stop the match for the referee to check on Cena and they went right to the finish after he was checked out. -

Riverdale Riverdale Is an American Teen Drama Television Series
Riverdale Riverdale is an American teen drama television series produced by Warner Bros. This series takes place in Vancouver, British Columbia. The broadcasting started in 2015. The main actors are Archie Andrews playing a character with the name as him, Lili Reinhart as Betty Cooper, Camila Mendes as Veronica Lodge, and Cole Sprouse as Jughead Jones. The cast also features Madelaine Petsch as Cheryl Blossom, Ashleigh Murray as Josie McCoy and Casey Cott as Kevin Keller. I chose this serie because, two years ago when I was in Budapest for three months with my friends Solenn, she showed me the trailer, and it was very funny. The story was a amusing. It was also nice to watch as a and I have kept on watching it. In this series, there are a lot of seasons (4) with many episodes. The story can change very fast, but it talks about teenagers in the town of Riverdale. All the young people study in the city’s high school. The story starts with the death of Jason Blossom. After that, the city is haunted by a serial killer "the black hood" who is the father of a main character of the series. His teenage daughter Betty and her boyfriend Jug investigate and try to solve all the murders. Another character Archie is threatened by the father of his girlfriend : Veronica Lodge. A game that already existed when the parents of the teenagers were teenagers, reappears in the series. It is a dangerous game which leads to many deaths and murders. Betty and Jug keep on investigating until the end to find the culprits and are helped by their faithful friends. -

Statement of Licensing Policy Licensing Act 2003
Statement of Licensing Policy Licensing Act 2003 Effective from January 2021 | | | | | | | | | | This Statement of Licensing Policy of Westminster City Council, the Licensing Authority for the City of Westminster, was prepared under Section 5 of the Licensing Act 2003 with regard to the Revised Guidance issued under section 182 of the Licensing Act 2003. Revisions to the policy and its publication were approved by Full Council on the 9 December 2020. This revised Policy is operative from 7 January 2021. Document title: Statement of Licensing Policy Version: 6 Date: 7 January 2021 Produced by: City of Westminster Innovation and Change Westminster City Hall 64 Victoria Street SW1E 6QP 02 | STATEMENT OF LICENSING POLICY 2021 | | | | | | | | | | Foreword Westminster is at the heart of London’s diverse hospitality and visitor economy. Our world-leading theatres and restaurants offer unique experiences that attract visitors from across the globe. In March 2020, Westminster had over 3,700 venues licensed under the Licensing Act 2003. This Statement of Licensing Policy sets out how the council will continue to promote our licensing objectives whilst protecting residential amenity and supporting businesses. The council has been active in supporting businesses in acknowledgement of the devastating impact of coronavirus on the entertainment and hospitality sector. We also changed the approach we took to this review of our Licensing Policy. In order to avoid placing additional restrictions on businesses and ensure that there is regulatory certainty for venues, we have decided not to implement the findings of the Cumulative Impact Assessment (CIA) in full, and to continue with the existing policy approach where possible. -

Sisneros lthough the Armendáriz surname is uncommon in New Mexico today, Athe Armendáriz family was important in New Mexico during the early to mid-1800s, with key political, diplomatic, and social links to Texas; Cali- fornia; Washington, D.C.; and Mexico. The lives of the Armendárizes attest to the long and constant movement of people, trade, and politics along El Camino Real de Tierra Adentro (the Royal Road of the Interior) and to the formation of a binational region. From Santa Fe, New Mexico, to the El Paso/ Ciudad Juárez border and Chihuahua City to Mexico City, the Armendáriz family legacy demonstrates that New Mexico has never been completely iso- lated from the larger history, national formation, or culture of Mexico. -

Charrería, Nationalism, and Manly Relevance in Modern Mexico
CHARRERÍA, NATIONALISM, AND MANLY RELEVANCE IN MODERN MEXICO Angélica Castillo Reyna A dissertation submitted to the faculty at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in the Department of History. Chapel Hill 2018 Approved by: John C. Chasteen Kathryn Burns Cynthia M. Radding Miguel La Serna Jocelyn Olcott © 2018 Angélica Castillo Reyna ALL RIGHTS RESERVED ii ABSTRACT Angélica Castillo Reyna: Charrería, Nationalism, and Manly Relevance in Modern Mexico (Under the direction of John C. Chasteen) This dissertation offers two premises. First, there is a deep history of relationships between power, horsemanship, and constructions of masculinity in modern Mexico. Second, because of this history, Mexicans in various eras and situations have depended on rural equestrian costumes, identities, and traditions to influence, interpret, and navigate the world around them. Part 1 of this dissertation consists of three chapters and provides an overview of the development of Mexican equestrian customs and the ways that Mexicans in colonial, independent, and revolutionary Mexico used horsemanship to make their lives meaningful, central, and sustainable. Part II, composed of five chapters, shifts to a discussion of the emergence of the equestrian sport community of organized charrería and the way that organized charros continued the practice of transforming Mexico’s equestrian past into a form of strategic cultural capital. Post-revolutionary organized charros, cognizant of the rich equestrian history they had to draw upon, used the idea of Mexican horsemen’s historic contributions in order to claim relevance in post-revolutionary Mexico as the heirs and latest representatives of that historically-significant equestrian tradition.
