BASEBALL FOR AUTISM AWARENESS: The Marlins teamed up with the Broward and Miami-Dade Chapters of the Autism Society of America to promote autism awareness in South Florida. The ASA is bringing over 250 people with autism, family and friends to the game. The national anthem will be performed by a group of children from Dade and Broward with autism spectrum disorder. The first pitch will be thrown by Paul Echeverria, a child with autism that plays baseball with the Cooper City Optimist. The ASA will be distributing information at the Broward Health Community Booth in section 149. The Autism Society of Florida is dedicated to increasing public awareness about autism and the day-to-day issues faced by individuals with autism, their families and the professionals with whom they interact. The Society and its chapters share a common mission of providing information and education, and supporting research and advocating for programs and services for the autism community. There are over 5,000 children with autism in Broward and Dade County schools.

FAMILY FUNZONE: The Family Funzone includes bounce houses, live music with a DJ, a mini carousel, inflatables, and live entertainment. The Family Funzone is located outside of section 146 along with Marlins Fan Headquarters.

NESTLÉ DRUMSTICK DIAMOND DASH: Kids ages 12-and-under will have the opportunity to run the bases after the game during the Nestlé Drumstick Diamond Dash. MILITARY TICKET OFFER: The "Stars and Stripes" ticket program for the United States Military staff allows Active and Reserve personnel, National Guard, and their dependents, to attend Sunday Marlins regular season games at no cost. To receive complimentary tickets, eligible military personnel, or dependents, must present their military identification card (DOD or Homeland Security Cards) at the Gate F box office at Dolphin Stadium, on the day of the game, at least one hour prior to the start of the regular season game. This program is good for Bullpen Box tickets for all 13 Sunday regular season Marlins home games. Tickets are subject to availability.

BASEBALL BUDDIES: Every Sunday throughout the season, local Little League teams, dressed in full uniform, will have the opportunity to take the field for the National Anthem. This week’s Baseball Buddies are from Hollywood Sunday Youth Baseball League.

PREGAME PARADE: A group of approximately 750 kids from various leagues will have the opportunity to walk around the outfield warning track at Dolphin Stadium prior to the game.

50-50 RAFFLE: The Florida Marlins Community Foundation will host a 50-50 Raffle at the Broward Health Community Corner, section 149, and the Gate H Plaza every Sunday during the 2008 season. Fans may purchase raffle tickets for $1 or six for $5 from the time the gates open until the final out of the third inning. One lucky winner will receive one-half of the money collected for the raffle that day. The other half will be used for the Cornerstones for Kids programs. The winner will be announced during the game as well as contacted by the Florida Marlins Community Foundation.

JEWISH HERITAGE DAY: The Florida Marlins will be celebrating Jewish Heritage Day on May 25. Israeli recording artist Gad Elbaz will perform the Israeli National anthem as part of the pregame ceremonies.

SNAPSHOT SUNDAY: The first 100 fans in line at Snapshot Sunday will be able to have their photograph taken with a Marlins player. Fans are reminded to bring their own camera. Snapshot Sunday is located at Strike Zone at Gate H and opens at 11:30 p.m. Billy The Marlin and the Marlins Mermaids will also be on hand for photographs at various times.

FAMILY FUNZONE: The Family Funzone includes bounce houses, live music with a DJ, a mini carousel, inflatables, and live entertainment. The Family Funzone is located outside of section 146 along with Marlins headquarters.

NESTLÉ DRUMSTICK DIAMOND DASH: Kids ages 12-and-under will have the opportunity to run the bases after the game during the Nestlé Drumstick Diamond Dash. Once the game has ended, kids and parents (or chaperons) should report to the concourse of section 141-142, where the guests will be escorted on to the field.

WALGREEN’S FAMILY SUNDAY: With the purchase of select products from any participating Walgreen’s stores in Miami-Dade, Broward or Palm Beach counties, fans can bring the receipt and proof of purchase to the box office and get one free Club B ticket with the purchase of one Club B ticket. Participating products include: Pepsi, Celsius, Resurrect Vida Tea, Snyder’s pretzels, Wise potato chips, Hawaiian Tropics/Banana Boat.

GENERAL INFORMATION

ALL-STAR BALLOTING: Voting for the 2008 MLB All-Star Game is currently underway at Dolphin Stadium through June 12. Fans can pick up ballots in several locations at both the 100 and 200 levels. Marlins fans are also encouraged to continue casting their votes online at the team’s official website, www.floridamarlins.com.

CELEBRATION CLUB: The Florida Marlins Community Foundation allows fans to display a message on Marlins Vision. Personalized messages will be shown in the middle of the 6th inning of every Marlins home game on the right field board. Messages will run for the first 12 people who call the Marlins office to make a reservation or sign up at www.cornerstonesforkids.com. Fans taking advantage of this program will also receive a framed picture of the message. The cost is $50.00 per message, with all proceeds benefiting the Florida Marlins Community Foundation. In addition, each caller will have the option to pick up one dozen roses or a gift bag (adult or child’s) at the Broward Health Community Corner for an additional fee.

Billy The Marlin or the Marlins Mermaids can deliver a gift bag and/or roses directly to a fan’s seat location for a $100 donation. If it is a fan’s birthday, Billy/Mermaids will lead the section to sing “Happy Birthday.” The first person to place a reservation for a message and gift bag/roses will be featured on Marlins Vision as the Al’s Florist & Gifts “Catch of the Day.” Cost of the “Catch of the Day” is $150. Also, one child a game can accompany Billy the Marlin on the field during the 7th inning stretch to sing “Take Me Out to the Ballgame” for a $100 donation.

Note: Marriage proposals can be arranged. The cost is a $250 donation, which includes a dozen roses. This requires special coordination so the more notice the better. This request should always be filtered through the Community Foundation. Payment must be received 24 hours prior to the scheduled game. Fans should call (305) 623-6497 to make a reservation.

BROWARD HEALTH COMMUNITY CORNER: The Broward Health Community Corner consists of two kiosks at section 149 and serves as the headquarters for the Florida Marlins community programs. The Florida Marlins Community Foundation will staff their kiosk every game from the time the gates open until the last out of the third inning. Auctions, raffles, and Marlins official Game Programs, Score Cards, Year Books and Media Guides are available.

PAPA JOHN’S 10-STRIKEOUTS PROMOTION: Every time the Marlins pitching staff records 10 or more strikeouts at a home game, fans can take their game ticket to participating Papa John’s locations in exchange for a small pizza. Promotion is valid for eat-in-only and must be redeemed within 48 hours.

MARLINS RADIO NETWORK: All 162 regular season games will be broadcast on 790 The Ticket and the Marlins Radio Network in English and on WQBA 1140 AM in Spanish. PARKING AND GATE OPENING: Parking lots at Dolphin Stadium will open two hours prior to game time (Gate 4 will open two and a half hours prior to game time). Stadium gates H and G will open one and a half hour prior to game time. Gate F will open one hour prior to game time. Additional gates may be opened as needed.
