GENERAL INFORMATION Throughout the summer young sports people have the opportunity to stay in the Blue Water sports hotel in the beautiful town of Colonia Sant Jordi just 3 minutes walk from one of the world’s best swimming facilities, the BEST Centre. CAMP Mallorca is open to sports people between the ages of 12 and 18. Experienced monitors will be supervising your sons and daughters 24 hours. The camp also includes many extracurricular activities including kayaking, cooking class for sportspeople, introduction to living away from home, beach games, table tennis tournament, 5-a-side football, boat trip to the natural park reserve of Cabrera, language classes (optional and additional cost), etc. "Our goal for each athlete is to have fun, learn, meet new friends, and take a great attitude about their sport back to his or her home club, while also learning to be independent." ACCOMMODATION Campers will stay in the 3 star Blue Water sport hotel, situated in the quiet beach resort of Colonia Sant Jordi. The hotel is just 3 minutes walk to the swimming pool. The hotel has hosted many national and club sports training camps and is owned by the BEST Centre. MEALS The campers will be eating all of their meals at the hotel, including breakfast, lunch and dinner. Water is included with meals. Other drinks are available at an additional cost. We make sure that they are fed well and have healthy choices available. There will also be snacks and drinks available for purchase at the camp store. Campers may bring snacks with them to keep in their dorm rooms. Refrigerators are not available. FOOD ALLERGIES Any camper with a food allergy must speak with the coaches during check in. We can have the staff nutritionist walk you through the dining hall and go over your food options with you. MULTIPLE CAMPS Campers can participate in multiple camps. The camps are back to back to make this transition as easy as possible. Campers that are staying for both camps will eat lunch on the next camp’s arrival days. SPORT FACILITIES BEST CENTRE The BEST Centre is an outdoor 10 lane 50m dedicated training pool. The outdoor 50m pool is the centre piece of the BEST Centre. The pool is 50m x 25m x 2m and is a free-standing pool from Astral, who supply the competition pools for the FINA world championships. We also have a gym and plenty of space for land work. BEST Centre also welcomes teams from all over the world. Teams come to the centre to use the great facilities it offers, improve their training and enjoy Colonia de Sant Jordi. BEST Centre has welcomed 500 different swimming, water polo, triathlon or synchronized swimming teams from 38 different countries (Europe and World).     • MARGA CRESPÍ • OBJETIVOS • PROGRAMACIÓN • INFORMACIÓN TÉCNICA INSTALACIONES • SELECCIÓN ESPAÑOLA RFEN DE NATACIÓN SINCRONIZADA • RESUMEN FOTOGRÁFICO MARGA CRESPÍ • Margalida Crespí nació en Palma de Mallorca, el 15 de agosto de 1990. • A los 6 años de edad, empezó a practicar la natación sincronizada en el PM Son Moix con el Club Mediterránea, en el que se fue formando y comenzó a competir y cosechar un éxito tras otro con tan solo 9 años. • Un día en un campeonato se fijó en ella la seleccionadora nacional Anna Tarrés y comenzó su andadura en Barcelona junto con el resto del equipo nacional. Ha tenido el privilegio de entrenar junto a Gemma Mengual, uno de sus referentes a seguir. • Miembro de la selección nacional de natación sincronizada, entre sus grandes éxitos cabe destacar las dos medallas de plata del campeonato de Europa celebrado en Budapest en el 2010 y la medalla de bronce de los campeonatos del Mundo celebrados en julio de 2011 en Shangai. OBJETIVOS • Dedicar la nueva instalación municipal a Marga Crespí en reconocimiento por su carrera deportiva, y que esto sirva como motivo de impulso y ánimo de cara al futuro, dada la gran exigencia y sacrificio que requiere la natación sincronizada. • Poder dar un nuevo impulso al deporte y favorecer la práctica deportiva de todos los vecinos y vecinas de Son Ferriol, así como del conjunto de los ciudadanos y ciudadanas de Palma. • Fomentar la práctica de la natación y en especial de la natación sincronizada en Baleares. • Transmitir e inculcar valores como el trabajo en equipo, respeto, exigencia y esfuerzo, compañerismo, responsabilidad y compromiso, e integridad.

Additional information for each program and age group will be available next year. This season, the most important competitions are the 2018 Junior World Championships in Budapest, Hungary, the Comen Cup in Sevilla, Spain and the 2018 Pan-American Championship in Riverside, CA. For the first time in a long time, USA Synchro will enter a full delegation at the 2018 Pan-American Championships with a team in every age group. This year’s program includes many foreign coaches from Russia, Ukraine, China, Spain and France. Our goals are to expose our athletes to different training styles, learn from the leading synchronized swimming countries and to expand our international network and outreach to improve our international relations, credibility and presence. Note that USA Synchro has published two National Team Guideline Manuals, which are available on the Members only website. These manuals outline the objectives and philosophy of the National Team program and the training process. We encourage all potential National Team athletes and their families to read these guidelines to familiarize and prepare themselves to participate in the program. All athletes selected to the National Team program should read the information contained in this document as well as the National Team agreement, Athlete Handbook and the National Team program guidelines.
