Well, hasn’t the world changed since the Furphy Bunbury Cup in early March? The Bunbury Turf Club had delivered another successful race season and we were heading into an extended break to complete a $17M Track Redevelopment which would see us return as a year- round racing venue with first-rate training facilities to meet the needs of our local participants. The Bunbury Track Redevelopment is now on pause and we will not know its future until we see the other side of this pandemic. The likely scenario is a 12-month delay. Therefore, the Bunbury Turf Club is racing in season 2020/21. We are excited to deliver another 20 race meetings next season commencing on Melbourne Cup Day, Tuesday 3 November running through to the start of April 2021.
