Russell Sarah Drew, who is best recognized for her role as Dr. April Kepner on the long- running hit drama Grey’s Anatomy, earned a bachelor’s degree in drama from the Carol Cate Meley Gebregziabher Elizabeth L. McKinnon Olivia J. Staff University of Virginia in 2002. It was during the summer before her fourth year when the budding young actress earned her big break. While participating in a musical Lia R. Meany Qizhen Sun theater master class in , Ms. Drew was spotted by a casting director and soon found herself in the title role of Romeo & Juliet at Princeton’s renowned Douglas W. Ms. Drew and her husband, Peter (married in 2002 at the UVA Chapel), currently William Streit Dickinson Kyle R. Kochevar Andrew T. Precious Jiaer Zhuang reside in Los Angeles with their children, Micah, 4, and Hannah, 1.
