GORLOVKA IMPERIAL STOUT 6% ABV Roger Protz’s beer of the month for March. Ruby black in colour with aroma and taste of liquorice and cocoa. Gold award at Camra’s Winter Ale festival. SOUL 3.9% ABV NEW A funky sparkling sun flower gold ale with hop flavours that twist with rhythm and blues and a crisp fruity finish. Brewed with lashings of the beautiful Amarillo hop. BREW COMPANY, SHEFFIELD, SOUTH YORKS 10. HOP RIPPER IPA 4.3% ABV An American style IPA from the multi award winning Sheffield brewery. Grapefruit and floral background. Flavour full of citrus and hoppy goodness. Very refreshing! 11. EUPHORIC BLONDE 4.2% ABV New A new dreamy golden ale, perfect for the summer. Light, refreshing and extremely drinkable. BREW DOG BEER, FRASERBURGH, SCOTLAND 12. TRASHY BLONDE 4.1% ABV Two here from arguably Britain’s most notorious brewery. This a titillating, neurotic, peroxide punk of a pale ale, with customary Brewdog bite in the flavour. 13. PUNK IPA 6.0% ABV A modern take on the IPA. Taste has an explosion of tropical fruit and a sharp bitter finish. Punk rock in a glass!! BROWN COW BREWERY, SELBY, NORTH YORKS 14. MRS SIMPSON’S VANILLA PORTER 5.1% ABV A special and some people’s favourite beer of 2010. A rich dark porter, with an intoxicating aroma and flavour of vanilla, with a lingering roast malt finish. CAINS BREWERY, LIVERPOOL, MERSEYSIDE 15. CAINS TRIPLE HOP 4.1% ABV New seasonal special ale. Brewed using 3 hop varieties. An aromatic pale ale full of body and flavour. THE CELT EXPERIENCE BREWERY, CAERPHILLY, MID GLAMORGAN 16. NATIVE STORM 4.4% ABV A robust mid brown ale full of spicy and biscuit flavours, a refreshing mouthfeel complemented by a powerful presence of fresh hoppy aromas. The complex range of ingredients coupled with a long dry hop finish result in a delicious and moreish Welsh ale. 17. GOLDEN 4.2% ABV A golden coloured organic ale, with a rich full-bodied texture accompanied by a unique blend of traditional and fruity hops. Drinkers of this delicious ale will experience a mouth-watering taste of citrus fruits with a slightly spicy aroma. ELLAND BREWERY, ELLAND WEST YORKSHIRE 18. EARTHBOUND 4.8% ABV New – Special from the on-form Elland, overall winner of the Winter Beer Festival. A pale straw coloured beer, long on hop flavour. Intensely bitter with fruity citrus grapefruit taste. FOX BREWERY, HEACHAM, NORFOLK 19. RED KNOCKER 3.9% ABV Session ale from this quality small brewer in Norfolk. Clear chesnut with beige lace. Juicy hops to the fore, with a faintly biscuity background. Zesty and unputdownably moreish HOPBACK, DOWNTON, SALISBURY, WILTSHIRE 20. TAIPHOON 4.2% ABV A fantastic pale golden beer with hints of lemongrass and coriander, with hints of ginger. KELHAM ISLAND BREWERY, SHEFFIELD, SOUTH YORKS 21. PALE RIDER 5.2 ABV Multi award winning pale ale, including Beer of Britain 2004. A strong and fruity ale where sweetness and bitterness continue to its finish. 22. NIGHT MOVE 4% ABV New A Chocolate and orange flavoured dark mild produced for Mild Month . LANCASTER BREWERY, LANCASTER, LANCASHIRE 23. LANCASTER BLONDE 4.1 % ABV A uniquely vivid golden bitter crafted from Maris Otter Malt with Munich Malt. The initial bitterness is followed by a delightful mouth feel culminating with a long dry finish. Silver award at the World Beer Awards 2010. MARBLE BREWERY, MANCHESTER, LANCASHIRE 24. GINGER MARBLE 4.5% ABV Always a festival favourite. Brewed with real ginger to make a proper cloudy ginger beer. Ginger is the dominant flavour throughout, but this is by no means a sickly beer with no depth to it. Greatly recommended...but only for ginger fans! 25. BREW 57 5.7% ABV NEW Brewed especially for the opening of the new Marble outlet at 57 Thomas Street, Manchester. Golden in colour and packed with as many American Hops as could be squeezed into a vat. This is a very limited run and is probably the only chance to try this special brew. NEWMANS BREWERY, CAERPHILLY, MID GLAMORGAN 26. Newmans Wolvers Ale 4.1% 27. Newmans Red Castle Cream 4.7% ORKNEY BREWERY, ORKNEY , 28. DARK ISLAND 4.6% ABV Reputedly one of the worlds best beers. A superb dark ale, with a complex and delicate aroma and flavour. Multi award winner and rarely seen in cask form in the Northwest. 29. RED MACGREGOR 4.0% ABV A brilliant ruby red colour, with a taste of summer berries giving way to a refreshing floral hop bitterness. A former world cask champion. PURPLE MOOSE BREWERY – PORTHMADOG, GWYNEDD 30. SNOWDONIA ALE 3.6% ABV Champion beer of Wales 2009. Excellent session beer. Light in colour. A cool thirst quenching brew, great for a relaxing summer afternoon… 31. GLASLYN ALE 4.2% ABV Their flagship ale. A golden fruity best bitter with well balanced hoppy finish. Golden award winning best bitter at the Champion Beer of Britain. 32. DARK SIDE OF THE MOOSE 4.6% ABV A delicious dark ale with a deep malt flavour. Aroma of roast chocolate and biscuit malts. Gold award winner at the Champion Beer of Britain. RCH BREWERY, WESTON SUPER MARE, SOMERSET 33. PITCHFORK 4.3% ABV A golden bitter. Lovely, clear, fresh, highly aromatic hoppy nose of deep, green, lush hoppiness, with a bitter, hoppy flavour. Former Best Bitter of Great Britain SALOPIAN BREWERY, SHREWSBURY, SHROPSHIRE 34. GOLDEN THREAD 5.0% ABV A triple hopping of English First Gold gives powerful citrussy flavours and vinous aromas, however the malt grist of barley, wheat and lager gives plenty of body and sweetness which balances the assertive bitterness. A beautiful golden summer ale 35. LEMON DREAM 4.5% ABV A delicious wheat beer, flavoured with a good hint of lemon make this the perfect summer drink, winning awards from Camra West Midlands 4 years in a row. 36. MATRIX 4.2% ABV A seasonal special. A refreshing golden yellow ale with a crisp white head. Prominent hop flavours are balanced by biscuit malt dry finish SALTAIRE BREWERY, SHIPLEY, WEST YORKS 37. RASPBERRY BLONDE 4% A refreshing blonde ale from the awesome Saltaire Brewery. Delicately infused with raspberry flavours. Sure to be a favourite. 38. TRIPLE CHOCOHOLIC 4.8% SIBA supreme champion 2010. Real chocolate, along with chocolate malts and syrup go into this dark velvety beer. Jet black in colour with a clean, delicious aftertaste. 39. BLACKBERRY CASCADE 4.8% American style IPA infused with a subtle infusion of Blackberry’s which lingers on the tastebuds. 40. CASCADE 4.8% Another multi award winner. Pale ale with floral aromas and strong bitterness. SARAH HUGHES BREWERY, DUDLEY, WEST MIDLANDS 41. SARAH HUGHES DARK RUBY MILD 6.0% ABV A classic. Dark ruby brown in colour, as its name suggests. The taste is heavy, and again complex and diverse in flavours, all the tastes linger, fruits, malts, hops all blended into a huge explosion of what a great British Strong Mild should be like. SHEFFIELD BEER WORKS/ABBEYDALE, SHEFFIELD, SOUTH YORKS 42. DR. MORTON’S INVISIBLE PAINT 3.9% ABV New Pale beer packed full of citrus and lemon. A wonderfully rounded flavour. Brewed especially for the General Election 43. RESTORATION 4.2% ABV New Pale beer, with oodles of fresh lemon and grapefruit flavours from the Chinook hops, and a long lasting bitter finish. Very refreshing SPINNING DOG BREWERY, HEREFORD, HEREFORSHIRE 44. MUTTLEYS SPRINGER 4.4% ABV A fresh fruity flavoured light golden beer, with a peachy apricot background. Great summer beer SPIRE BREWERY, CHESTERFIELD, DERBYSHIRE 45. WHITER SHADE OF PALE 4% ABV A light, pale straw-coloured session bitter. It is refreshingly smooth and deliberately avoids using grapefruit flavoured hops, but has a generous addition of wheat malt. Very, very, pleasant. THORNBRIDGE BRWERY, BAKEWELL, DERBYSHIRE 46. WILD SWAN 3.5% ABV First of three from the amazing Thornbridge. Wild Swan is white gold in colour with aromas of light better lemon, a hint of herb and a subtle spiciness. Quite exquisite 47. JAIPUR IPA 5.9% ABV Multi-award winning strong IPA and deservedly rated as one of Britains best beers. Its immediate impression is soft and smooth yet builds to a crescendo of massive hoppiness accentuated by honey. The beautiful way in which it’s balanced and the flavour unfolds. There is complexity and moreishness 48. ST PETERSBERG IMPERIAL STOUT 7.7% ABV Rich and dark with smoke, subtle peatiness and the power of the dark malts. Molasses and liquorice and chocolate goodness all wrapped up in a smooth, warming liquid. Finishes with a distinct humming bitterness carried well by the hop and malt combo. Another Thornbridge beer with a heavy trophy cabinet. TRIPLE FFF BREWERY, ALTON, HAMPSHIRE 49.
