This aptly titled collection is an elegant and harmonious look into the human soul. The bilingual book is translated by William O'Daly, and features Spanish poems alongside their English translations. Neruda, a famous Chilean poet, is able to capture the essence of human emotion, touch, and being through his craft. For example, in his work, “Time,” he begins, "The day is made from many days, an hour keeps slow minutes that found their way...” Much more of this articulate and graceful style can be found in Neruda’s collection.
