Forte Village Sardegna
L L L Forte Village Sardegna by Giorgia Mauri Forte Village Sardegna L L L WHERE THE EXTRAORDINARY HAPPENS EVERY DAY Forte Village is the multi-award-winning destination on Sardinia’s southern coast that has worked tirelessly ever since it was established in 1970 with the sole aim of offering its guests an unrivalled service. To achieve this goal, the resort has been redeveloped and restructured several times over the years. Yet none of those initiatives have been as ambitious as the project launched in 2014 that will come to an end for 2016. Lorenzo Giannuzzi, at the helm since 1994, describes it like this, “We want to prepare Forte Village for the challenge of the next decade: to be trailblazers in the hospitality of the future.” So the resort is preparing to enter a new era, while jealously guarding and building on the foundations of its success year after year. “Think of the Made in Italy brand: what springs immediately to mind? The most refined tailoring, the most celebrated variety of food and wine in the world, the most powerful, sophisticated and exclusive cars, a genuine and traditional welcome. And the Forte Village experience, too, with our take on hospitality, wellbeing, leisure, sport, fashion and food – nourishment for body and soul.” Lorenzo Giannuzzi, CEO and Managing Director, Forte Village Resort L L L A DESTINATION WITHIN A DESTINATION Forte Village is a destination of unparalleled allure nestling in a truly wonderful natural setting. It is a masterpiece of myriad shades of blue, with the unmistakable waters of southern Sardinia, nuanced greens, in its luxuriant 47 hectare garden, and – to complete the marvellous Mediterranean backdrop – the pristine white of the beach right on its doorstep. -

Welcome to the 17Th International Conference on Liquid and Amorphous Metals!
L A M – 1 7 Lyon, 26-30 August 2019 17th International Conference C T S on Liquid and Amorphous Metals T R A A B S 1 https://lam‐17.sciencesconf.org 2 https://lam‐17.sciencesconf.org Welcome to the 17th International Conference on Liquid and Amorphous Metals! The 17th International Conference on Liquids and Amorphous Metals in Lyon, August 26‐30, 2019, continues a series of meetings held every three years, most recently in Beijing, China (2013), and in Bonn, Germany (2016). In 2019, LAM‐17 is hosted jointly by the Institut Lumière Matière (ILM), University of Lyon 1, INSA and CNRS in Lyon. The aim of LAM conferences is to discuss new advances and future directions in the field of liquid and amorphous metals, by employing theoretical and simulations studies, laboratory techniques and large scale facilities such as synchrotrons and free electron lasers. The 17th edition will also include presentations on non‐metallic materials, such as molecular glasses, polymers and colloids in order to encourage the interdisciplinary among different disordered materials fields. The scientific program of LAM‐17 consists of plenary sessions, parallel oral sessions with invited keynotes and contributed presentations, as well as poster sessions. Presenters were invited or selected based on their abstract submissions by the International Advisory and Program Committees and the local organizing committee. The two best posters presented by students will be awarded with the possibility to perform a short term visit in a partner laboratory. The welcome cocktail on Monday, August 26th, at Villemanzy in the heart of the Lyon, is a first opportunity for conference participants to know each other and to network. -

The Council is a true memorial of the International Club of Great Britain which was formed in 1924. Since that time the IC movement has expanded world wide with International Clubs now numbering 38 nations. And the ideals that were formed then have not changed since that time. Players who have played internationally can form friendships for life and with programmes that enable clubs to engage socially and competitively it enhances cementing international relationships. Activities within their own clubs also keep the spirit of past achievements alive and it is very important that the history of our great game is not lost. -
