The Property Chalmore Hole Ferry House is a former ferryman’s cottage dating from 1913 with interesting character features and well-presented accommodation in an idyllic riverside location. The property was occupied until the 1950s by the Wallingford ferryman and is referenced in Three Men in a Boat by Jerome K Jerome.

The pretty Thameside town of Wallingford has an excellent range of shops including a Waitrose supermarket, schools and recreational facilities. Henley- on-Thames, Oxford and Reading are also within easy reach and offer a more extensive range of amenities.

There is an excellent commuter rail service from Cholsey Station (5 mins drive appox) to London in around 55 mins.
