Manuscript in English should be computer-typed, double-spaced with 1.5-inch right-hand margins on one side in A4 paper (210 x 297 mm). Font size 10-12 points, Times New Roman. Text should be justified. Footnotes should be avoided. All units of measurement are in metric. All manuscript sheets must be numbered successively. No portion of the article should be underlined except Latin names of genera and species, if not typed in italics. Submit in triplicate with a CD in MS Word, photo/map/chart/drawings in jpg/psd (photoshop). Introduction section should clearly describe the objectives of the study and provide enough background information to make it clear why the study was undertaken. Lengthy literature review is discouraged. Some earlier references of work may be cited. Materials and Methods should provide the reader with all the information necessary to repeat the work. For modification of published methodology, only modification needs to be described with reference to the original source. Based on morphological taxonomic key characters 48 diaptomid species belonging to 13 genera were reported from India. Taxonomic discrimination of many species of these genera is difficult due to their high morphological similarities and minute differences in key characters. In the present study two species of the genus, Neodiaptomus, N. meggiti and N. schmackeri from Andaman Islands were examined based on morphological and molecular characters which showed low variation in morphology and differences in their distributions. The morphological taxonomy of Copepoda with genetic analysis has shown complementing values in understanding the genetic variation and phylogeny of the contemporary populations. In this study, a molecular phylogenetic analysis of N. meggiti and N. schmackeri is performed on the basis of mitochondrial Cytochrome c oxidase subunit I (COI) gene. Papa1,2,5* ABSTRACT A study originally intended to update the taxonomy and distribution of calanoid copepods in selected freshwater ecosystems of Central Luzon has led to the discovery of a new record of Phyllodiaptomus Kiefer, 1936 in Candaba Swamp, Pampanga. Since 1979, the only calanoid copepods recorded from this area included Filipinodiaptomus insulanus (Wright S., 1928) and Tropodiaptomus australis Kiefer, 1936. Later studies on calanoid copepods in the region have since been non-existent. Analyses of pertinent key morphological characters revealed that the specimens at hand belonged to Phyllodiaptomus (Ctenodiaptomus) praedictus sulawensis Alekseev & Vaillant, 2013, a freshwater diaptomid calanoid copepod subspecies discovered and known to be endemic only in Indonesia. Provided in this paper are baseline information on the morphological characters of the Philippine members of the subspecies accompanied by line drawings as well as a comparison between the recorded morphological data presented by Alekseev, Haffner, Vaillant & Yusoff (2013) and the current dataset to support the identification of the specimen. The discovery of P. (C.) praedictus sulawensis in the Philippines, which was thought to be endemic in Indonesia, presents a new record of this species in the country and the first such record outside of its country of origin. Tox- icity, antifeedant and repellency potential of the heartwood extractives was also investigated under laboratory conditions. Heartwood extractives were removed from wood shavings by using methanol or an ethanol: tolu- ene (2:1) mixture. Results of choice and no-choice tests with sap and heartwood blocks exposed to termites, showed that both mulberry species were resistant to termites but in comparison, Morus alba wood was more resistant than Morus nigra to termite feeding as it showed <5 % weight loss after 90 days. Termites exhibited a concentration dependent mortality after exposure to either mulberry species’ heartwood extractives. The high- est termite mortality occurred after termites were exposed to filter paper treated withMorus alba extractives at a concentration of 5 %. At this concentration, antifeedancy and repellency were calculated to be 91,67 and 84 % respectively. Our results also showed that extractives from either mulberry species imparted resistance to vacuum-pressure treated non-durable Populus deltoides wood. Termite mortality was greater than 75 % after feeding on Populus deltoides wood treated with extractives from Morus alba. Solvent only (methanol) treated Populus deltoides controls, showed a minimum weight loss of 2,69 % after 28 days.

Eight Termite, social wood species include Mangifera indica (mangoes), Albizia lebbeck animal, pest, (albizia), Populus euramericana (popular), Melia azedarach (bead tree), feeding behavior, Vachellia nilotica (kiker,thorny acacia), Eucalyptus camaldulensis field conditions, (eucalyptus), Dalbergia sissoo ( shesham), and Eugenia jambolana choice bioassay, no (jamun) was offered to termites to feed under field trials. Wood species was cut into blocks (L×W×T =8×9×1 cm) and dry in the oven at 42oC choice bioassay, for 72 hours. It was found that P. euramericana, M. indica and V. woodblocks, nilotica where the most palatable woods to termite as maximum feeding replicates, bait was noted for these two kinds of wood under field conditions.
