Former NFL QB Inspires Luncheon Crowd

On April 18, a record crowd of more than 700 business and community leaders packed the Marriott Muehlebach Hotel in support of the Heart of America Council’s 6th Annual Patron Luncheon. A key component of the council’s Investment in Character Campaign, the Patron Luncheon helped raise nearly $300,000 for local Scouting programs.

The keynote address was delivered by Joe Theismann, former NFL Quarterback, current ESPN analyst, and Life Scout. Theismann delivered a powerful address on the importance of Scouting and the lessons he learned while playing football in college and the NFL. He also surprised three luncheon attendees by throwing personalized footballs to them during the event.
