Abstract: EdibleandtheirdistributioninTurkeywerestudied.Theabsenceofpomatia,aspeciesreportedtooccurin Turkeyinresourcesinvariousdisciplines,ismentioned,while7speciesofediblesnailsdetermined( pisana, vermiculata,Cryptomphalusaspersus,Cantareusapertus,Helixasemnis,Helixcincta and Helixlucorum)aredescribedindetailby meansofmorphology,distribution,systematicalpositions,andakeytothespeciesisgiven.Additionally,problemsaboutthefuture ofharvestinginTurkeyandstandardstobeappliedarediscussed.
