What better way to welcome the summer season than with WT SUMMER CAMP splashing, playing, and creating with friends new and old! Each day campers will meet at WT City Campus and be transported KINGSLEY to and from the Kingsley Center daily. ADVENTURE Campers will be divided into small groups based on age and our days will be filled with activities that celebrate the amazing active spaces at the Kingsley Center in East Liberty. K 1 2 3 4 5 6 Our days will be filled with : WT Summer Camp Staff • swimming in the pool (instruction and 1:1 supervision will be provided for campers who need extra support) • Being active in the gymnasium • creating art • Cooking in the studios

• and learning new and exciting skills!

Our lunch time will be spent in a nearby park where we will enjoy daily picnics and outdoor games. The start to the summer season at WT has never looked so good!

June 14-18

Calling all Teddy Bears to join us as we offer ½ day programs for our newest campers! This week artists will continue a classic WT Teddy Bear Camp: Summer Camp tradition with some beautiful and messy creations. Get ready to paint, bend, mold, cut, glue, and create! We will create Art Attack amazing art projects with a special focus on outdoor art forms and Age 3-PK favorite projects like pottery, clay, t-shirt painting, mosaics, garden art, birdhouses, and more. These bears will be so busy enjoying Maggie Horton water play, games, stories, songs, and crafts that there will be no time for your little bear to hibernate! Campers will also have the 9:00am - Noon chance to create their own special bear that we hope will be a life- long friend and memory from Summer 2021!

We like to move it, move it we like to move it, move it! Calling all campers who love dancing, sing-alongs, crafty and creative play! This wiggly week will be all about exploring different Shake Your SIllies ways to move our bodies when we feel happy, sad, exhausted, Out and totally SILLY! We will learn new dances and come up with PK-K our own as we fill our days with laughter and fun. Silly campers will also add new call and response songs to their Jenny Tritsch repertoire, create instruments to keep the beat, and on Friday, share their favorite moves and songs with the whole camp! We can’t wait to enjoy this wacky week with your campers!

Join Coach Jeannie and Ms. Hannah this week to stretch our brains and our bodies and learn about keeping our whole selves healthy! I don’t know about you, but 2020 had me talking about germs more than ever before in my life! This week we will learn about how they Health 360° work, the powerful things our bodies can do, and find fun (and delicious) ways to keep our bodies happy. Campers will learn about PK-K senses, bones, the gas we pass, and how germs spread through sensory discovery and scientific experiments. While campers are Jeannie Kirk + stretching their brain muscles we will also look at how important it Hannah Miller is to stretch our bodies and the power of PLAY as we kick, pass, dribble, and bounce the gaga ball. From head to toe inside and out campers will leave this week with a new understanding of healthy habits and fun!

Once Upon a slime… I mean time there was an amazing summer Once Upon a Slime camp program with Ms. Blaney…a program where we share stories and create new inquiry-based adventures every day of the week! Based on Steve Spangler Science, this program explores amazing PK K 1 hands-on science and literature connections with young learners. Kimberly Blaney Each session will start with a short, interactive story that leads into a fun, exploratory (and sometimes messy!) science experiment. Join us as we listen, create, explore, build, and investigate!we hope will be a life-long friend and memory from Summer 2021! June 14-18

Passport Our adventures will be full of exploration as we are transported to each Adventures: North continent. We will learn about the geography, history, culture, and people of each destination. Campers will sample food, create art, crafts, America listen to music, play games, practice some of the languages, and MORE! This camp gives new meaning to the term K 1 2 “globetrotter!” whether you experience just one week or all six! Bonus: Kathryn Sitter No extra fee for first-class travel! Go beyond our borders as we explore NORTH AMERICA. From the Arctic circle to the Equator, from the Pacific to the Atlantic Oceans, learn about over seventeen countries and their rich history, culture, and people. Roar like a lion and stretch tall like a giraffe with certified kids yoga instructor Ms. Levarse! This week campers will spend the week exploring movement, mindfulness, and meditation through a You are a Lion variety of different mediums. Each day we will practice a new mindfulness skill to add to our toolbox. We will learn simple yoga, go 1 2 for mindfulness walks, make sensory cool down kits, work on our Erika Levarse gratitude journals, and more. Campers will draw from inspiration using the book “Do Good, Be Kind, Spread Happy” to help guide us in becoming “Niceness Ninjas and Happiness Heros” as we spread random acts of kindness all over WT Summer Camp, throughout our own communities, and beyond!

Tune in live to WT Summer Camp Radio, where you will be transported through space and time as you experience creative storytelling like never before. This week campers will have the opportunity to practice telling their own true stories as well as the Story Slam ones that run wild in the imagination. We will learn what it takes to make a story captivating and get some tips from NPR's Moth 2 3 4 mainstage story-slam winner “Coop”. Through collaborative storytelling, personal reflection, interviews, improv games, and Ben Tritsch more, storytellers will work together to create stories for the best podcast you never knew you needed. Whether you're looking for humor, drama or a thrill... Our WT Podcast will bring you the stories that you want to hear. Everyone has a story to tell and we can’t wait to hear yours! June 14-18

It's All Greek to Me Let your imagination set sail as we go back to B.C.and explore the world of ancient Greeks and mythology. Curious campers, join us as detectives and sort through clues about Greek mythology, the 3 4 5 Olympic games, Greek warfare, and the day to day life of the Grecian people. Campers will spend time creating art projects linked to the Trojan horse, Greek pottery, and find out what Jeremy Mangan happens to a hero who doesn’t listen to an oracle. Don’t miss this classic opportunity to bring the past to life.

Gamerz: Design and Calling all sports lovers and video gamers, this camp was made just for you! We have spent so much of the past year on our screens so Play this week we are going to shake things up. Our days will be filled 3 4 5 with kicking, dribbling, tossing, catching, and running on and off the screen. Campers will spend part of the day learning to code in a Rebecca Iezzi virtual game world and the other part of the day they will be playing games IRL. Who better to lead the way than computer science teacher and Coach Iezzi?

Have you ever wanted to learn to play a new instrument? What Strings and Things about TWO? This week campers will have a full musical immersion with magical music teacher extraordinaire Mrs. Lettan! Campers will 3 4 5 spend part of their day learning to play their very own strings (Ukulele). The other part will be spent learning about rhythm, beats, notes, and all kinds of musical THINGS! Campers will work Janna Lettan throughout the week to create a performance to share with friends near and far!

Let's face it, 2020 had us all on the couch more than ever before. This week we are focused on moving our bodies, stretching our minds, and Fitness Fun learning new ways to treat our bodies best. Each day we will get outside and run (or speed-walk) as we work to log a half-marathon together! Campers will learn new stretches, fitness routines building 3 4 5 endurance, and also learn how to make easy healthy snacks that still taste great! The afternoons will be filled with cool-down activities, Carly Caruso yoga, crafts, and community building connections. Explorers will be + Emily Onorato out and about all day and in light-rain or but hopefully lots of sunshine. Please be sure to pack an extra set of clothes and comfy shoes that can get dirty!

June 21-25

Teddy Bear Camp: Calling all Teddy Bears to join us as we offer ½ day programs for our Safari newest campers! This week campers will continue a classic WT Age 3 PK Summer Camp tradition ON SAFARI! Look out, maybe we will see a dazzle of zebras or a caravan of camels! Each day on our adventures Maggie Horton we will learn about different animals and their habitats through 9:00am - Noon song, art, and reading! These bears will be so busy that there will be no time for your little bear to hibernate! Campers will also have the chance to create their own special bear that we hope will be a life- long friend and memory from Summer 2021!

Twists, Tales, Trails Storytellers, crafty campers, and outdoor adventure... what could be better? Campers this week will become weavers of both stories and crafts as they journey into nature and create art to mimic and PK K enhance the great outdoors inspired by stories each day. Get ready to walk and explore, as campers take time to look at their Jenny Tritsch surroundings and collect different materials they will use to twist into their very own nature weavings. Campers will also create works of art that enhance outdoor spaces – whether it is a garden, deck, wooded area, porch, or rooftop! We will explore projects such as colorful wind chimes, birdhouses, sun catchers, garden stones, and so much more. Campers will work with all sorts of unique materials to create an outdoor art exhibit that will live well beyond summer 2021! This is one hands-on, active, and dirty camp!

Curious George EVERYTHING! Each day, campers will explore themes from the Curious About... popular PBS show, Curious George, and will focus on investigating nature, science, art, building and so much more! Fun, hands-on PK K 1 activities will include decorating and making your own kite, constructing bridges, designing bird feeders, exploring stories, and Kimberly Blaney creative play!

This was a year of BIG feelings! Fear, excitement, confusion, joy, Emotion Explorers sadness, happiness, and so many more! We will spend this week PK K 1 exploring all of the emotions we felt and then some! Through social- emotional learning activities, sports, and lots of games campers will Jeannie Kirk + learn how to share their emotions in a fun and positive way and add Hannah Miller new tools to their toolbox. We will also draw from inspiration using books, songs, and our own stories! While we love and admire all emotions we hope our #1 feeling this week is HAPPY! June 21-25

This camp gives new meaning to the term “globetrotter!” whether you Kathryn Sitter experience just one week or all six! Bonus: No extra fee for first- class travel! Adventures begin as we travel through SOUTH AMERICA winding our path through the Amazon rainforest, climbing Machu Picchu or Iguazú Falls! Travelers will taste the unique fruits and special flavors that come from these twelve countries! Stories of the native animals and people will be featured and inspire our game playing, artmaking, and research! WT Summer Camp of Witchcraft and Welcome to WT Summer Camp of Witchcraft and Wizardry! Wizardry Witches and wizards of all experience levels are welcome, even squibs! After collecting their wands and supplies from Diagon Alley K 1 2 and being sorted into houses, students will begin their magical education covering all of the Ministry approved essential classes. Crystal Gonzales Students will also use theories of muggle science to perform wizard magic. Campers will learn about electrical magnetic forces, circuitry, chemistry, and more as they mix potions and send secret messages, add notes to their spellbooks like the half-blood prince, explore the world of magical creatures, try their hand at quidditch, and celebrate all things Hogwarts!

STEAM Adventure Have you ever read a book like Ada Twist, Scientist, or Six Dots: A Story of Young Louis Braille, The World is Not a Rectangle and 1 2 immediately saw the world in a new way and wanted to create something inspired by the book? If so, you've found the right Dylan Kapit spot! Campers will enjoy STEM-themed books and use their engineering minds to create their own masterpieces. Think necklaces of binary code, LEGO skyscrapers, puzzles, pom pom theme parks, and more! Each day will be filled with engineering challenges and lots of crafts. There will be time to explore, create, and share all of our ideas! Monster Machine So, “what is a machine?” Is it as complex as a robot or as simple as a MAKEr ladder? During this week, engineers will explore this question as 2 3 they tinker and create with monsters on their minds. These scientists will learn how to make simple circuits, sketch, and design their original monster machine to put on display for the whole Jeremy Mangan camp to admire. They will use reusable materials, motors, and more as they work together and as a team through trial and error to see how inventive they can be with their new circuit knowledge. June 21-25

WT Takes the Stage Calling all aspiring Broadway performers! Come join us this week and learn what it takes to put on a show! These Stars will learn to 3 4 5 sing, dance, create costumes, and discover tips for great stage presence while we rehearse a song from a favorite broadway Janna Lettan show. On Friday, our amazing performers will virtually take the stage in front of the whole camp and you at home to share what they have created. We cannot wait to see their names in the lights!

Global Games Calling all active and inquisitive athletes to WT Summer Camp! 3 4 5 Have a blast playing and learning about sports from all over the world. Sports will include rugby, team handball, World Cup soccer, Jimyse Brown and ultimate Frisbee. Learn about the history and culture of these sports while having fun playing them! Other games will be played and activities held throughout the week. We can’t wait to explore the world through sports!

It is time to challenge your knowledge of Percy Jackson and Percy Jackson - Greek Mythology! Will your young Demigod be chosen by a Greek or Roman god? We will get up close and personal with Camp Half Blood vs. Gods and Goddesses, campers, hunters, nature spirits, Camp Jupiter centaurs, and monsters. Greek and Roman camps will compete as teams to see who will solve riddles, decode messages, and 4 5 capture the flag first! Our adventures as demigods and goddesses will ultimately work together to achieve the Weird Eric Costello common goal of increased confidence, knowledge, and power – all for good!

Summer Freeze Let's travel into the unknown with Anna, Elsa, Olaf, Kristoff, Sven, and all of their new pals this summer as we relive the adventures PK K of our favorite frosty heroes. Our days will be filled with games, activities, crafts, and of course, singing and dancing along to our Emily Onorato new favorite soundtrack as we forge new friendships and find magic in our own special powers.

An engineer; ready to Crystal Gonzales help your fellow astronauts when problems arise on the ship. And be able to test your physical and mental abilities as you explore the weightless universe. This camp gives Kathryn Sitter new meaning to the term “globetrotter!” whether you experience just one week or all six! Bonus: No extra fee for first-class travel! This week, we fly to AFRICA and learn about the fifty-four amazingly diverse and rich cultures of this continent. As we traverse through the various biomes of plants and animals, we will find how they influence the culture, dress, movement, and stories of many of these places. Explorers will cook and taste foods and make music as we celebrate the great countries of this ancient continent. Outdoor Explorer: Let’s get outside! Outdoor Explorers will adventure through Backyard Edition neighborhoods, on trails, and to nearby parks . Along the way, 1 2 Explorers will build their sense of wonder and their science skills as they engage in nature exploration and play activities based on the Brock Perkins work of Joseph Cornell, the author of the Sharing Nature with Children, We will complete scavenger hunts, make maps, and spend our days exploring the great outdoors!

Game On! Join internationally-known Coach Jimyse Brown as she All Star Sports coaches campers through the basics of shooting, passing, dribbling, defense, and conditioning in basketball and other classic sports. 1 2 Each day will involve warm-up games as campers get their bodies Jimyse Brown ready to run bases, score goals, defend shots, and get into the mindset of athletes. Through drills, games, and fun, campers will leave knowing more than just the sport but also about themselves as team players. No prior play needed. Let’s have a ball this week!

ARTchitect Adventure A hill is a house for an ant, a hive is a house for a bee, WT Summer Camp is a camp for YOU! This week, every camper will get the chance 1 2 3 to design and transform their very own wooden "house" into a rocket ship, a castle, a submarine, or whatever you can imagine! Using a variety of different materials, each artist will create their own house Elizabeth and a collection of creatures and accessories to inhabit it. Artistic Friedman campers will also get to try their hand at beading, painting, clay building, and more during this hands-on week of creating. Campers will leave this week with their amazing art pieces, as well as their custom house to enjoy for years to come! June 28-July 2

A long time ago seems even longer after 2020 in a galaxy far, far Jedi Knight Trainig away, the Jedi Knights were the guardians of peace and justice in the galaxy. Padawan apprentices are campers who are in training to become Jedi Knights. In our training camp, the young Padawans 3 4 5 will participate in problem-solving challenges that support the Jedi Code toward a peaceful and cooperative galactic society. Based on the Star Wars® movies, the activities will be physical in nature and Jedi Grand Masters will include character role-playing, lightsaber fencing drills, movie Steve Cooper and trivia, and related discussions. Now with a full day, campers will Ellis James have the chance to do deep dives into character history, create their own movie scenes, and spend even more time learning under the Jedi Grand Masters who have been running this camp for over 20 years! Will the Jedi Counsel find you fit to become a Jedi? Time will predict if, succeed, you will.

Add some magic to your life during this full day workshop! Campers will work with Weird Eric, a professional magician, to learn the skills Balloon Magic and knowledge necessary to perform basic small illusion magic tricks. This camp will combine instructor presentation, step-by-step Adacemy explanation, hands-on instruction, group practice sessions, and 345 individual performance. We will also spend time on balloon Weird Eric twisting, tying, and creating awesome works of art! Each session we will learn new tricks and designs and then practice them with our peers. Upon successfully completing the camp, young magicians will have the necessary tools to not only perform small illusion magic tricks but also create awesome balloon art as well!

Extra, extra, read all about it! If 2020 has taught us anything, it is how important journalism is! During this full day experience, campers will become journalists as they cover the Breaking News WT Summer Camp this week at WT Summer Camp 2021 and beyond. Where will the trail Gazette blazers go? What will happen in game design camp?These young reporters will learn interview techniques as we talk to 1 2 teachers, fellow campers, local business owners, and neighbors to learn new stories and delve into research. Campers will also learn Sarah Mueller about important skills linked to investigating, photojournalism, clear communication, paper layout and effective writing styles and the importance of teamwork. This camp is for anyone interested in reporting the facts, writing, telling stories, cartooning, and more. The week will end in our 3rd volume of the WT Summer Camp Gazette. June 28-July 2

From north to south and east to west we will hike, paddle, splash, and snack our way through parks in our beautiful city of Kassandra Pittsburgh! Our days will be filled with history, adventure, and Humberson + shenanigans from our fearless leaders Mr. Mangan and Ms. Humberson as we pack our adventure bags (with homemade Jeremy Mangan snacks) and hit the trails in this active camp!

Teddy Bear Camp: Acting Calling all theatrical Teddy Bears to join u as we offer ½ day programs for our newest campers! This week campers will Extravaganza continue a classic WT Summer Camp tradition with a dramatic twist! Young performers will have a chance to let their flair for Christina Vlachos the dramatic shine as they work on creative storytelling, dress up, singing, movement, and lots of laughs! These bears will be Age 3 PK so busy enjoying water play, games, stories, songs, and crafts that there will be no time for your little bear to hibernate! Campers will also have the chance to create their own acting 9:00 am - Noon bear that we hope will be a life-long friend and memory from Summer 2021

STEAM Team Talent wins games, but teamwork wins championships. In this test of unity and cooperation, campers will come together to PK K design their own team, uniform and logo and learn just what it takes to make it as a team. Each day will be filled with a variety Jeannie Kirk and of different adventures designed to challenge all of our skills Hannah Miller from musicians to mathematicians, engineers to athletes, readers to racers, and everyone in between! Each camper will find a time to shine this week as they work together as a TEAM!

This is one COLORFUL camp experience that you will not forget! Color Me Happy We will explore COLOR through games, activities, projects, challenges, art adventures, scavenger hunts, and more. We will PK K study the color wheel and investigate how different colors make us feel! Young artists and adventurers will love this hands on Jenny Tritsch active colorful time.

Do you ever finish reading one of your favorite books and spend Make Believe with the rest of the day imagining what it would be like to become a Mangan part of the story? This week your campers will do just that! Each day will begin with a story and then dive right into play. PK K Innovative campers will let their imaginations soar as they join the wild rumpus with the wild things, fly on dragons wings, go on Jeremy Mangan wacky adventures with pirates, and so much more. Using their artistic minds campers will work on crafts to support their story telling, go on adventures, and spend lots of time being silly together. Take a ride over the unicorn rainbow and join us for days filled Rainbow Unicorn Art with glitter, rainbows, mystical key-chains, unicorn horns, bath K 1 2 bombs, dream catchers and so much MORE! There is no end to the magic that we will create in this camp as these young Emily Onorato artists let their imaginations soar. Unicorn lovers will spend their camp time creating, coloring, and designing their way through this sparkly week.

Jack…Annie…and YOU! Campers will experience magic, myth, history, and mystery every day! Our adventures will allow us to Magic Treehouse explore through time, space, and different cultures. As we Adventure climb into our own magic treehouse, we will be whisked away K 1 2 by stories and clues that involve games, riddles, codes, and projects that will ultimately lead to solved problems and Erika Levarse completed missions!

Campers, get ready to get slimy and sciency! This week, we are going elbow deep into everyone's favorite sticky stuff. Do you know how many different types of slime there are!? Fluffy slime, glow in the dark slime, scented slime, magnetic slime… Each day Chemistry of SLIME campers will focus on new slime recipes and make predictions using the scientific method about how ingredients and their 1 2 reactions. Slime scientists will learn about polymers and how different forces and materials have an impact on the properties Crystal Conzales of their homemade slime. We will store the slime at camp for the week to compare changes and develop our favorite recipe for WT Summer Camp Slime!

Ourdoor Adventure: Let’s get outside! Outdoor Explorers will adventure through Backyard Explorers neighborhoods, on trails, and to nearby parks . Along the way, Explorers will build their sense of wonder and their science skills 1 2 as they engage in nature exploration and play activities based on the work of Joseph Cornell, the author of Sharing Nature with Brock Perkins Children. We will complete scavenger hunts, make maps, and spend our days exploring the great outdoors! July 5-9

Get your bellies ready! This week, Mini Chefs will explore Cooking Around the mighty flavors from all corners of the globe. We will begin right World at home understanding the different influences of the food we eat every night. We will get our passports ready and travel to 1 2 3 France, Mexico, Italy, and China as we learn what dinner (and dessert) looks like around the world. As we visit each country, Brianna Nichols we will learn new facts about the culture and customs surrounding the food we make. Maybe quarantine gave your young chef a new passion for cooking or got you thinking how helpful it would be to have another set of hands in the kitchen! Campers will leave the week with their own recipe book and a new talent and passion to share with family and friends for years to come.

Fiber Arts: Yarn weaving, needle Yarn-Punch your way through this camp week! Come try your felting, macrame, hand at a new skill that some say is just like “painting with and more yarn”. Fiber artists will spend their week working with their own yarn punching kits, macrame, needle felting, and creating 3 4 5 other works of fiber arts. With the help of Ms. Mueller, a yarn punch aficionado, campers will make potholders, wall Sarah Mueller hangings, and other beautiful fiber installations that will weave their way into your hearts and homes forever.

A long time ago seems even longer after 2020 in a galaxy far, far away, the Jedi Knights were the guardians of peace and justice in the galaxy. Padawan apprentices are campers who are in Jedi Knight Training training to become Jedi Knights. In our training camp, the young Padawans will participate in problem-solving challenges that support the Jedi Code toward a peaceful and cooperative 3 4 5 galactic society. Based on the Star Wars® movies, the activities will be physical in nature and will include character role-playing, lightsaber fencing drills, movie trivia, and related discussions. Jedi Grand Masters Now with a full day, campers will have the chance to do deep Steve Cooper and dives into character history, create their own movie scenes, and Ellis James spend even more time learning under the Jedi Grand Masters who have been running this camp for over 20 years! This week our mission is to engage, inspire, and create. We are going to explore questions like: What makes a robot a robot, Hummingbird how does a robot think and interact with the world, how can Carnival you write code that your robot will understand? Campers will each work with a Hummingbird Robotics Kit, a spin-off of 3 4 5 Carnegie Mellon’s CREATE Lab. These kits were created to engage students from 3rd grade to AP Computer Science at the Rebecca Iezzi collegiate level. We are going to blend the traditional robotic lab feel and add a summer camp twist as we spend time collecting materials and coding to create our very own WT Summer Camp Hummingbird Carnival for all campers to enjoy!

Story Lab Animation Do you want to be a storyteller, an animator, or a computer programmer? How do you transform from a media consumer to a creative producer? Flip the script with Assemble’s Story 3 4 5 Laboratory camp! Use stop-motion animation, coding, and more while you engineer and design kinetic sculptures to make your ideas move beyond the page and screen to their fullest Assemble potential. Calling all adventurous Teddy Bears as we offer ½ day programs for our newest campers! This week campers will Teddy Bear Camp: continue a classic WT Summer Camp tradition with some exciting journeys around the world. Teddy Bear Campers will Travels pack their bags and begin our global adventure. Each day will Maggie Horton feature a different region of the world that we explore through Age 3 PK taste, smells, crafts, and games! These bears will be so busy enjoying water play, games, stories, songs, and crafts that 9:00 am - Noon there will be no time for your little bear to hibernate! Campers will also have the chance to create their own special adventure bear that we hope will be a life-long friend and memory from Summer 2021!

Young crafty chefs, do you love helping out in the kitchen? Following recipes or creating your own mixtures? Do you ever think about where ingredients come from? How flour is made Chop, Knead, Cook, or why some recipes need baking soda? What about why Craft different cultures have different recipes and traditions? This week we will discover answers to all these questions and more PK K as we learn about the importance of kitchen safety, proper chopping techniques, and design our own visual Taylor Wainwright cookbooks! Did you know you leave evidence everywhere you go? From fingerprints to fibers, super sleuths will learn all about the Forensic science of forensics and the power of observation. Our days in Investigators the lab and on the beat will be spent learning new tricks of the trade, studying fingerprints, extracting DNA, chromatography, 3 4 5 cross examination techniques, comparing fibers, and more! Investigators will apply all of their new skills as they build a Crystal Gonzales case file and solve the mystery surrounding this week.

LEGO LOVERS UNITE! This week we are going to take our love of LEGO and building design to the next level. Each day will come with a new adventure as we pound the pavement exploring some of the amazing architecture all around us. We will use Master Builder what we have seen to inspire our building challenge as we Architect Studio learn about structure, design, decorating, and how community planning works! Where will your imagination take you as you 3 4 5 create houses, hotels, hospitals, or alien space stations… Campers will move beyond traditional LEGO building and find new ways to interact with our favorite classic toy. Come Sarah Mueller create, wreck, and repeat with us.

En garde! This basic level camp will introduce students to the sport of fencing and the history of the sport! Each day, we will engage in warm-up exercises and stretching, basic footwork and blade work exercises, and essential tactics and strategies. Fencing History and Young athletes will learn to fence and develop an understanding of fencing’s strategy, rules, and conduct related to the history of Skill Building swordsmanship and evolution of sword play. We will also highlight the exciting history of fencing in the olympic 3 4 5 games. Skills will be reinforced through practice and drills. Access to all equipment and protective gear will be provided Iana Dakova and properly sanitized between uses. Campers simply need to arrive with long pants, sneakers, and a desire to learn the art and sport of fencing.

Do you love to sing? Dance? Preform? Do you want to share your Musical Theater passion and talent with others? If you answered yes to these questions, do we have a program for you! This camp experience Extravaganza will provide opportunities for campers to sing, express, perform, play, and inspire with music! Students will help to select the 3 4 5 songs from a variety of different musical theater productions and pick one to choreograph and perform on Friday! This summer we are delighted to partner with Aspinwall Riverfront Park and their magical and Earth & Air @ inspiring space to where WT Summer Campers will explore, Aspinwall Riverfront learn, and grow outdoors while forming new friendships and strengthening old! Campers will be assigned to Park developmentally appropriate age groups and will rotate with this group and their counselors throughout the park for the 1 2 3 4 5 6 entire week! Each week will be linked to a theme inspired by the outdoors. Campers will have the opportunity to participate in challenges, art activities, group games, experiments, and WT Summer Camp collaborative projects as they work their way through the week Faculty earning WT Summer Camp badges. We will also host inspiring visits from community members who will share their talents and passions with us!

This week we will ground ourselves in the elements of Earth & Air! We will capture the magic of air during balloon building with Pittsburgh Magician and Balloon Artist Weird Eric! Outdoor investigators will also engage in earth explorations with geocaching and epic scavenger hunts, learn to build natural forts and structures, and so much more during this week of Earth & Air!

Curious George: Curious about music? So is George! Each day, campers will Curious about Music explore themes from the popular PBS show Curious George and will focus on creating instruments, exploring instruments PK K that are available in our summer music studio, and learning about how music is made – right along with George. Fun, hands-on activities will include creating a recycled band, Lisa Marcellus creating an opera with sock puppets, making a conductor’s wand, and so much more.

Young agents we need you on the case! This week campers will Super Secret Spy dive right into the biggest mystery WT Summer Camp has ever Academy seen. Each day we will learn a new way to collect clues from fingerprinting, proper evidence gathering, chromatography, and crime scene chemistry. We will take lessons in cryptology, PK K 1 practice our undercover disguises, work on hiding in plain sight, and learn just what it takes to be a spy. Using teamwork and Jenny Tritsch our new skills we will be able to solve any case!

Is your Creature Power suit ready? Join Chirs, Martin, Ms. Marcellus, and some furry felines this week as we study Wild Kratts and animals, habitats, and the special ways that your favorite Cats creatures have adapted to survive. This camp is linked to the adventures of the Kratt Brothers on the PBS show, Wild Kratts, 1 2 and combines science education with fun and adventure. Students will explore animal habitats around the globe and Emily Marcellus have visits from some special feline friends that will give us hands-on opportunity to observe and care for cats! Through experiments, hands on activities, and games, campers will learn important ecological concepts and evolution while having fun!

So, “what is a machine?” Is it as complex as a robot or as simple Monster Machine as a ladder? During this week, campers will explore this MAKEr question as they tinker and create with monsters on their minds. These scientists will learn how to make simple circuits, 1 2 sketch, and design their original monster machine to put on display for the whole camp to admire. They will use reusable jeremy Mangan materials, motors, and more as they work together and as a team through trial and error to see how inventive they can be with their new circuit knowledge.

Campers will learn about electrical magnetic forces, circuitry, chemistry, and more as they mix Crystal Gonzales + potions and send secret messages, add notes to their spell books Brock Perkins like the half-blood prince, explore the world of magical creatures, try their hand at quidditch, and celebrate all things Hogwarts! Join internationally-known Coach Jimyse Brown as All Star Sports she coaches campers through the basics of shooting, passing, dribbling, defense, and conditioning in basketball and other 3 4 5 classic sports. Each day will involve warm-up games as campers get their bodies ready to run bases, score goals, defend shots, Jimyse Brown and get into the mindset of athletes. Through drills, games, and fun, campers will leave knowing more than just the sport but also about themselves as team players. No prior play needed. Let’s have a ball this week!

Lights, camera, action, songs! Let’s get musical! Songwriters and video designers unite for this awesome camp! Whether it is your MTV @ WT love for songwriting, your passion for being on screen, or behind the scenes you can do it all during this week of musical 3 4 5 fun! Campers will work on songwriting, storyboarding, directing, acting, staging, filming, and editing a variety of Dylan Kapit projects. We will primarily be learning and using iMovie software for easy edits and clips of our footage. At the end of the week, we will add our videos to a private YouTube channel for families to access and watch again and again! July 19-23

Campers will have the opportunity to participate in challenges, art activities, group games, experiments, and WT Summer Camp collaborative projects as they work their way through the week earning WT Summer Camp badges. We will also host inspiring Faculty visits from community members who will share their talents and passions with us!

Campers will ignite this week as we explore the elements of Fire & Water! Join us this week as things heat up when we learn how to harness the power of the sun as we roast marshmallows using solar panels and make art using light and shadows. Campers will cool down near the river as we learn the tricks of catch and release fishing! We will also enjoy some unique and exciting field trips where we will learn about the water in our rivers and in our homes and answer the question, what can fish tell us about our water? This is sure to be one hot and refreshing week!

These little Maggie Horton bears will stretch their performance muscles as they dive into their favorite fairy tales, creating alternate endings, puppets to Age 3 PK support their shows. These bears will be so busy enjoying water play, games, stories, songs, and crafts that there will be 9:00 am - Noon no time for your little bear to hibernate! Campers will also have the chance to create their own special bear that we hope will be a life-long friend and memory from Summer 2021!

Adventure Island Get ready for WT Island life at the newest island on the map. PK K Beach bums will take a dive into summer fun. Campers will create erupting volcanoes, study seashells, design and sail their Jenny Tritsch own boats, party with island animals, and even learn to make some tropical inspired treats. Our week will be full of crafts, games, exploration, and fun!

World Music Campers will “travel around the world” from Australia to Adventures Zimbabwe to Peru and MORE as we discover and engage with instruments, rhythm, songs, and dances unique to different PK K 1 countries. This interactive, high-energy camp will allow campers to explore music and enjoy time with new friends. Lisa Marcellus

Our camp adventures will be inspired by Laura Joffe Numeroff’s If You Give a best-selling book series If You Give a…, involving a mouse, a pig, Camper a... a dog, a moose, and a cat! We will take a journey each day as we follow the adventures of the story characters. As a special PK K 1 bonus, we will make homemade pancakes, donuts, muffins, and cookies! Campers will also work as a team to create a Emily Marcellus unique, whimsical, and brave story about the journey of a camper when you give them a canteen. July 26-30

This camp gives new meaning to the term K 1 2 “globetrotter!” whether you experience just one week or all six! Bonus: No extra fee for first-class travel! For our final adventure, we combine two continents of OCEANIA and Kathryn Sitter ANTARCTICA by traveling ‘down under’ to the far south seas and the fourteen counties that exist there! Combining the tropics and the freezing landscapes are just part of our exciting journey. We will wander through a mix of rich cultures and learn of plant and animal life and engage our senses as we listen to stories, observe art, and make music all inspired by LEGO Robotic JR these travels. 1 2 Have you ever wanted to create a game for robots? Do you like to build architectural structures and test their ability to stand? Ever wish you could make your LEGO creations “come to life”? This Rebecca Iezzi week will set our LEGO creations in motion as we build and code robots using WeDo kits! Outdoor STEAM Summer STEAM Outdoors: How does our boat stay afloat on the water? What sorts of materials build the best bird’s nest? And 2 3 how do clouds form? STEAM (Science, Tech, Engineering, Arts and Math) is all around us in nature – and we have a lot to discover! Our mornings Barrels + Balafon will be filled with sounds of steelpan. Musicians will learn technique, performance skills, and the history and culture of the instrument, including the unique building process. 3 4 5 Our afternoons you are invited to “dance out loud” with Balafon West African Dance Ensemble! Dancers will move their Balafon West bodies to the beat as they learn about West African culture, social consciousness, and learn the steps for their Friday African Dancing and performance! This week will be all about building confidence, Barrels to engaging creatively, thinking innovatively, creating community, Beethoven and sharing a new love for steelpan and West African Dance. Campers get ready for one hands-on week at Aspinwall Riverfront Park as we explore Plants & Animals! We will have visits from local garden enthusiasts who will teach us how to forage, grow, and care for plants. We will connect with our inner animals daily and learn the basics of Tae Kwon Do with Master Norris. WT SUMMER CAMP KINGSLEY Each day campers will meet at WT City Campus and be transported ADVENTURE to and from the Kingsley Center daily. Campers will be divided into small groups based on age and our days K 1 2 3 4 5 6 will be filled with activities that celebrate the amazing active spaces at the Kingsley Center in East Liberty. WT Summer Camp Each day we will spend time: Staff • swimming in the pool (instruction and 1:1 supervision will be provided for campers who need extra support) • Being active in the gymnasium • creating art • Learning, designing, and playing with robotics and coding • and moving our bodies and learning from master drummers and dancers with Balafon West African Dance Company!

Our lunch time will be spent in a nearby park where we will enjoy daily picnics and outdoor games. The end of summer at WT has never looked so good!

August 9-13

Community and It’s time to get outdoors! This summer we are delighted to partner with Aspinwall Riverfront Park and their magical and inspiring space Service @ to where WT Summer Campers will explore, learn, and grow Aspinwall Riverfront outdoors while forming new friendships and strengthening Park old! Campers will be assigned to developmentally appropriate age groups and will rotate with this group and their counselors throughout the park for the entire week! Each week will be linked 1 2 3 4 5 6 to a theme inspired by the outdoors. Campers will have the opportunity to participate in challenges, art activities, group games, WT Summer Camp experiments, and collaborative projects as they work their way through the week earning WT Summer Camp badges. We will also Staff host inspiring visits from community members who will share their talents and passions with us!

Now that we have engaged with the physical elements it is time to connect and build with the community. Campers will work with new community partners and their peers to create their own service project for this beautiful week of camp! Using unique skills and passions from campers we will create art, clean up the environment, and do our part in giving back to the community and earth. We can’t wait to spread our joy during this week! WT Summer Camp Rocks ONLINE June 14-18 Campers, get ready to get slimy and sciency! This week, we are going elbow deep into everyone's favorite sticky stuff. Do you know how Slime Time many different types of slime there are!? Fluffy slime, glow in the dark slime, scented slime, magnetic slime… Each day campers will 2 3 4 5 focus on new slime recipes and make predictions using the scientific method about how ingredients and their reactions. Slime scientists will learn about polymers and how different forces and materials Alaina Loman have an impact on the properties of their homemade slime. We will keep our slime all together to compare changes and develop our favorite recipe for WT Summer Camp Slime! All participants will receive their own slime making kit and materials! Was the Big Bad Wolf really trying to hurt the Three Little Pigs? How did the Step-Sisters remember Cinderella's night at the ball? What June 21-25 do you think Jack would discover at the top of the Beanstalk in 2021? This week we will be exploring some well-known fairy tales and Fractured Fairy exploring new ways to reimagining them in a whole new setting. Or we will come up with our own new tales of adventure and magic. Tales Come ready to write your own update of one of these tales. Campers 2 3 4 5 will share their new adventures on Friday with a "live" publishing party! All campers will receive their very own reusable "smart" Rachel Cunningham notebook to fill with tales and adventures of their very own! June 28-July2 We have a mystery bigger than any WT Summer Camp has ever seen and we need YOUR help to solve it! Join us this week and think like a Math Mysteries! detective as you become a mathematical crime solver. Join Detective Cunningham and her team of operatives as they attempt to use numbers and reasoning to crack the case. Campers will work 2 3 4 5 together to play math games, complete puzzles, and solve mathteries. Math minds of all skill levels are welcome. According to Rachel Cunningham my calculations, this is one mystery that will provide infinite entertainment. Case closed. Join us on Zoom daily from 1:00-3:00 p.m.

July 5-9 Calling all LEGO Friends! Each day campers will conquer the daily challenge, uncover new lego trivia, and work together to build a LEGO Friends virtual collaborative community. We will see where our imaginations can take us as we build hospitals, our own zoo, 2 3 4 5 redesign and rethink our homes, create ice cream shops, and more. Campers will move beyond traditional LEGO building and find new Alaina Loman ways to interact virtually with our favorite classic toy. Each camper will receive their own LEGO friends collection and Lego camp gift box! Join us on Zoom daily from 1:00-3:00 p.m. WT Summer Camp Rocks ONLINE July 12-16 LEGO LOVERS UNITE! This week we are going to take our love of LEGO and building design to the next level. Each day campers will be Master Builder challenged to explore some epic architecture from as close as their Architect Studio neighborhoods all the way to Dubai! We will use what we have seen to inspire our building challenge as we learn about structure, design, 2 3 4 5 decorating, and how community planning works! Where will your imagination take you as you create houses, hotels, hospitals, or Rachel Cunningham alien space stations… Campers will move beyond traditional LEGO building and find new ways to interact with our favorite classic toy. Come create, wreck, and repeat with us. Each camper will receive their own architecture inspired building kit!

July 19-23 Join us on zoom daily from 1:00-3:00 p.m. Invest for Success Is it a bear or bull market? This week campers will come together and learn all about the stock market! Ms. Cunningham will cover the basics of the rise and fall of the market. Then campers will use their 2 3 4 5 knowledge to begin creating and managing their own portfolio.

Legos, magnatiles, plus-plus blocks, cardboard, couch pillows, and more! One thing is for sure our homes are filled with things for us to July 26-30 build with! Each day campers will come together discuss building strategies, learn design thinking, and be given a challenge for the Build It! day. Campers can choose to keep their screen on while they venture off to build and troubleshoot with small groups and come back 2 3 4 5 together to share their amazing new creations! Get ready to design, build, and repeat! Campers will receive a package of their favorite Rachel Cunningham building materials.

August 2-6 Campers – get ready to paint, bend, mold, cut, glue, and create! This program will include amazing art projects with a special focus on Art Attack outdoor art forms and favorite projects like pottery, clay, t-shirt painting, mosaics, garden art, birdhouses, and more. Your thirst to explore and create will definitely be quenched by this camp 2 3 4 5 experience! All campers will receive an art kit with all materials needed for this week of fun!
