Directions to Hill End Centre, Farmoor, Oxford, OX2 9NJ (Follow the White Rabbit!) CAUTION! – the B4044 is a fast, narrow, road with a 50 mph speed limit and the turn into the Nash Hash site is on a bend. Please be careful when approaching the site and turning into it. You can find it here: Google Map: http://goo.gl/maps/3MX52 By Road From Swindon (via the A420) Follow the A420 all the way to the junction with the A34. At the roundabout take the fourth exit to go back on the A420 AWAY from Oxford. After 0.5 miles take the exit to Farmoor/Eynsham (B4044). At the bottom of the slip road take the right turn towards Farmoor and Eynsham. Drive for 0.5 miles and look for the White Rabbit on the right. From the North via the A34 Follow the A34 south to the Botley (A420) junction. At the roundabout, take the third exit to follow the A420, signposted Swindon. After 0.5 miles take the exit to Farmoor/Eynsham (B4044). At the bottom of the slip road take the right turn towards Farmoor and Eynsham. Drive for 0.5 miles and look for the White Rabbit on the right. From the South via the A34 Follow the A34 north to the Botley (A420) junction. **There are roadworks at Milton Interchange with 50 mph and 40 mph speed restrictions. Allow extra time for your journey, especially during peak time**. At the roundabout, take the first exit to follow the A420, signposted Swindon. After 0.5 miles take the exit to Farmoor/Eynsham (B4044). At the bottom of the slip road take the right turn towards Farmoor and Eynsham. Drive for 0.5 miles and look for the White Rabbit on the right. From London or Birmingham (via the M40) Follow the M40 to Junction 9 (A34) and take the A34 towards Oxford. Follow the instructions above for “from the North via the A34”. Note that we strongly recommend *not* taking Junction 8 of the M40 and the Oxford ring road as there are major roadworks at Cutteslowe/Wolvercote. From Cheltenham, Gloucester and Wales (via the A40) Follow the A40 to the Eynsham roundabout (B4449). Take the third exit towards Eynsham. At the next roundabout take the second exit (straight across). At the following roundabout, take the first exit towards Farmoor (B4044). At the toll bridge pay 5p (note there can be queues at rush hour) J . Drive 2.5 miles. You will see the main Hill End entrance (with a totem pole) on the left. Go past this for 100m and turn left into the site at the White Rabbit sign. By Train At the time of writing it is still unclear, but there may be disruption on First Great Western trains because of industrial action. Please bear this in mind and check ahead of time. On arrival at Oxford, come out into the station concourse. You then have a choice of hailing a cab (it’s about 3 miles to the site) or taking the S1 bus service. The S1 bus stop in Frideswide Square is currently not in use, due to re-modelling work. Either turn left up Park End Street (Stop E7 opposite Kwikfit) or right down the Botley Road (Osney Island stop opposite the allotments and the West Oxford Community Centre). Once on the S1 bus, the nearest bus stop to the venue is “Oaken Holt” (OAP home). It’s 0.5 miles from the bus stop to the site. CAUTION! – the B4044 is a fast, narrow, road with a 50mph limit. There is a grass verge but NO pavement. Please take care if walking along it. By Coach Coaches will drop you at Gloucester Green bus station in the centre of Oxford. The S1 bus departs from stop A3 on George Street, or from Gloucester Green depending on the time of day. Follow the “By Train” instructions once you have found the bus. See http://www.m.ox.ac.uk for live bus info. By Air from London Heathrow or London Gatwick We recommend catching the “Airline” coach service (http://airline.oxfordbus.co.uk/). The X70 service leaves from LHR Central bus station (for T1,2,3) stand 15 and T5 (stand 10) The X80 service leaves from LGW South terminal (lower forecourt stands 1&2) and North terminal (lower forecourt stands 4&5) Both run almost 24 hours a day and you want the “Gloucester Green” stop. On arrival at Gloucester Green, follow the instructions in “By Coach” to get the S1 bus to the site.
