Using the Audio Setup Wizard

Instructions for Setting up Headsets for Elluminate

• Plug the USB end into a USB port on the PC. The USB port may by located on the front or the back of the PC.

• On Windows XP PC systems, after plugging in the headset, Windows will automatically find and install the required software.

• Enter an Elluminate Live! room, select Tools – Audio – Audio Setup Wizard. The Wizard will walk you through the steps to configure your headset.

Select Audio Output Device

Select the USB headset, in this case the “Microsoft Live Chat LX – 3000” is being recommend for use by WWCC. Microphone Setup

Follow the on screen instructions to configure the microphone.

TIP: If the Wizard does not detect your voice, check to see if the microphone is muted. If the red light on the headset is on, the microphone is on mute.

Select Yes if satisfied with recording. If not, select NO and configure the microphone again.

Setup Complete

The headset setup for Elluminate is now complete. When you click OK all the settings will be stored for future sessions as long as you leave the headset plugged in.

Note: If PC audio is required to be passed to PC speakers or for non Elluminate applications, remove the USB Headset from the USB port. If the headset is left connected all PC audio will go to the headset and not the speakers. Plug the headset back in again when needed for another Elluminate session then use the Audio Setup Wizard to make sure the headset is configured properly.
