Track Location and Information • Albuquerque’s mile-high elevation and abundant sunshine create an exhilarating outdoor arena for spirited competi- tion at UNM’s world class facilities • The track consists of an eight-lane, all weather Versa turf surface outside; inside, a natural grass surface with multiple jump and throw areas. • The UNM track stadium seats 6,000, with a spectacular view of the Sandia Mountain range. • Nearly perfect training conditions exist, with daytime highs in the 80’s; Nighttime lows in the high 40’s; and relative humidity at 30%. These rankings generally reflect the top-50 per event in the nation (+/- a dozen in any given year). They have been published annually in most of the Who's Who, and are sourced originally from Track & Field News. Over 130 Oregon high schools have had at least one alumni athlete make this prestigious ranking.
