Weatherization Fact Sheet Single: Brand New Day Released: 6/25/18 As a native of the Bluegrass State, Louisville, Kentucky, Marcus grew up with aspirations of becoming a pro football player, but his goals changed after having committed over 10+ years of his young life to the U.S. Navy. A conversation and experience I’ll never forget.” Marcus would find his way before Rebbie Jackson (a Sister of Jackson 5) and her family during a weekend show in Las Vegas. Since then, Marcus has continued to travel and also perform locally in Jacksonville, Florida. To name a few notable events, Marcus performed for the Convoy of Hope, a Superbowl & NFL Sponsored Event. He has even opened up for Miles Jaye, R&B Artist. Notably, Marcus was the headliner for the Lincoln Foundation’s 19th Annual Night of Jazz Concert at the Kentucky Center for the Performing Arts, located in Louisville, KY (2014). Notably in July 2016, Marcus performed at the Derby City Jazz Festival in Louisville, Ky, which also featured jazz greats, Jeff Lorber, Mike Phillips, Brian Bromberg, Marion Meadows, Everett Harp, Jeff Bradshaw, Cindy Bradley, Marcus Johnson and The Urban Jazz Electronic Press Kit Coalition, just to name a few. Recently, Marcus performed at the 2018 Jazz in Central Park Sonicbids.com/MarcusClick2 (Louisville, KY on August 26, 2018) and the Seafood & Jazz Festival in Jacksonville, FL to kick of the inaugural jazz festival on May 25, 2018. This family tragedy served as the catalyst for DeAndre’ to develop a support system that could be an anchor and a resource hub for other families who may have to take a similar journey through grief.

    EARNEST WALKER JR. Smooth Groove Artist Earnest Walker Jr. spent the first 15 years of his life traveling the country with his family. The experience taught him an appreciation of different cultures and musical styles. At the age of nine, Walker started playing the guitar, but a year later he picked up the saxophone and it has been his passion ever since. When he was only 14 years old, the established musicians in Pensacola, Florida felt his playing was so essential they would sneak Walker into night clubs to showcase his talents. Walker studied music education at Bethune-Cookman College in Daytona Beach, and later attended Florida State University, quickly establishing himself as one of the most sought-after saxophonists on both campuses and all around the state of Florida. After college, Walker joined the Air Force, where he performed with different groups in each town he was stationed. After the military, Walker toured and performed in most of the central to eastern portions of the country, including Miami, Daytona Beach, Charleston SC, Philadelphia, New Orleans, Atlanta, Tampa, Orlando and Denver. In the late 90’s, he moved to Philadelphia and became a member of the prestigious smooth jazz band “Blind Date”. Returning to Miami in 2003, Earnest Walker Jr is well known in the city of South Beach as a show stopper that is sure to leave the audience breathless.
