The District Office will be open from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. Enjoy your break! CENTRAL SCHOOL DISTRICT ALBION Purple Eagle Pride Students make music, create instruments Expanding Students spent the month learning Hybrid Learning about instrument families. The Purple Eagle Football Team hits the road for their first game against Pioneer Senior High School Fri- day night at 7 p.m. Check the Albion CSD Purple Eagle Athletics Facebook page (@AlbionCSDAthletics) and www.albionk12.org for more streaming information. 2 The April 1, 2021 Eagle’s View www.albionk12.org Middle School students take on new spring project Some of our Middle School students are working on their Pysanky, Ukrainian Egg Decorating in Mrs. Feder’s art class. The technique requires the students draw with melted wax, using a kistka, onto an egg and layer the wax and dye to make decorated eggs. What a really interesting project! Congratulations to Kim Weese and the Purple Eagle Science Olympiad team. Weese (pictured right) is the highest achieving Albion student ever in Science Olympiad. In seventh grade, she won a medal and this year she won five. This year, the team finished in 6th place at the online Mid-Western Regional Science Olympiad Competition! Great work, everyone! 3 CENTRAL SCHOOL DISTRICT ALBION Purple Eagle Pride The show must go on! Students from Charles D’Amico High School’s Theatrical Department is preparing to debut its spring musical: Disney’s “Freaky Friday.” This year, the show will be virtual and can be streamed on April 16 and 17 at 7 p.m. and April 18 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $5 and can be bought online at www.albionk12.org. Students help clean up Albion Members of the Albion Interact Club, Service Learning stu- dents, and some student-athletes joined the Albion Rotary Club picking-up trash along the railroad tracks from east of Platt Street to near West Academy Street, and then part of one of the fields across from Walmart. They filled 23 garbage bags with trash in about 2 hours - great work everyone! Congratulations to (back to front, left to right): Bailey Blanchard, Tony Free- man, Christian Doty, Damion Lattim- er, Chris Shabazz, Nik Newton, Kyle Woolston, Kyle Lonnen, Zach Colacec- chi, and Elijah Lloyd.
