AmCham is growing not only in numbers but in influence, and the companies listed in this catalogue are important drivers of economic reform and growth in Armenia. U.S. foreign direct investment in Armenia can be transformative. For example, U.S. information technology firms are not only leveraging Armenia’s rich engineering expertise to create world class outputs, they are educating a new generation of IT experts through cooperative programs with Armenian universities. U.S. firms bring not only their financial investment, but also Ameri- can values of transparent and open business practices to Armenia. The quality, not just quantity, of U.S. firms operating in Armenia is what makes the difference. AmCham’s members are on the forefront of bringing in new Western partners. You should be proud of your roles in strengthening AmCham’s advocacy and support for foreign direct invest- ment in Armenia. Under AmCham’s umbrella, you have the collective power to address the challenges to doing business in Armenia, to expand opportunities, and to improve Armenia’s overall business climate. I deeply value the U.S. Embassy’s partnership with AmCham, and the experience and knowledge of its member companies. You are the voice of the American business community here. We want to hear about your successes so we can encourage other American companies to follow. Just as importantly, we want to understand your concerns and support your efforts to make the changes necessary to grow your business and attract new U.S. investment. As AmCham strengthens its numbers and impact on Armenia’s business sector, we will keep working together to improve Armenia’s investment climate and increase bilateral commercial ties. I look forward to continuing the U.S. Embassy’s important partnership with AmCham in the coming year and celebrating its 100th member. Sincerely, John A. Heffern U.S. Ambassador to Armenia 6 | amcham Dear AmCham Business Directory Readers, Welcome to the AmCham Business Directory 2012!
